You can fit at least 21 ziplock twist n lock (ppp5) quart/pint containers in a 106quart monotub 1

I started with the PODS Tek (invitro growing) and lots of time has passed and I still haven't had pins... so I decided to put the jars into a monotub, so fruiting it just like how the V-tek or Mudafuka's Bottle Tek suggest to use a fruiting chamber rather than doing it in-vitro (keeping the lid on during pinning).
I followed MF's monotub instructions (8, 1 inch holes on top and 6 holes on bottom. I covered the holes of the monotub with micropore tape.
I started with a dozen jars... and realized my other jars which I had tiger-dropped, were already colonized AND consolidated, so I filled the monotub up... and it was almost perfect... I have 21 plastic bottles now in there all cased and ready to go... and I could probably fit only a few more, so this should be plenty to keep the humidity up inside the monotub.
I misted the hell out of everything, including the walls and lid of the tub before closing the lid. Now, I'm not sure what to look for in the next few days to really know how to "dial in" the monotub, but I guess I'll learn.

Anyway, wish me luck! If these things produce shroomies... it will be a lot of shrooms!

He asked for the luck. But hell skilled is best. To answer your other question maybe 12 dry oz after a few flushes

Mudafuka can get a oz per quart so 21 poorly made qts could half of that maybe a little more. Why you got to take his fun away

I like to think of luck as that moment when preparation meets opportunity. As long as you prepare and practice (practice practice practice with mushroom growing) you will find your self with more good 'luck' than you know what to do with.

Yea I wasn't sure if I should have done that. Now I know, thanks!
And yes guys I need luck because I'm afraid I have a non-fruiting strain since there are non thus far. But, the casing and this fruiting chamber with the lids off should help.

Well fuck, at the moment it's 0 ounces. I'd be happy if it's a fucking gram at this point. I'll update this thread if it starts becoming fruitful.

your either going to have to put more sub in that tub or try to cram them in a smaller one ( I can fit 15 qt pp5's in the 66 qt sterilite) or the humidity and surface micro climate for optimal pin/fruit formation will be inadequate.
Your probably going to need to mist often to keep beads on the surface unless you put more sub in the tub or if you maybe live in a humid climate it should help.
Regardless maxing out the amount of sub per tub is essential with these bottle teks when using monotubs.
Me seeing those empty spaces and the small amount of sub in each container makes me cringe as I've seen very poor results when I have tried to pull off similar
remember even with the tub at full capacity with bottles, it is less volume of bulk than traditional monotub setup.
You do have the slight advantage of less surface area per sub volume which won't dry the sub out as fast and creates it own micro climate in each container thus needing overall less ambient humidity to keep good enough conditions but I still think you'll have much better results(without having to constantly mist) by adding more sub to the tub.
Maybe since the containers are not filled that high, the airflow will not be as high thus not drying things out too fast?
I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted ..
You should check my gallery for some nice bottle flushes...

Unless you actually isolated a strain from ms on agar I don't believe you have a "non fruiting strain"
Is this from ms? If so you most likely have many many strains involved and most of which are fruiting strains.
your problem is improper conditions not genetic IMO...

Hey tombosley8 thanks for the heads up man, I will mist them and watch them make sure they're not drying out. I'll definitely keep you posted.
And no it's not from MS... it was MS to agar... with several transfers done to ensure it was clean, so maybe it IS a non-fruiting strain. Time will tell.

even after 5-10 transfers from ms I've never seen a non fruiter.
Like I said unless you have a single isolated strain(no sectoring on agar) then most likely you do have some fruiting genes in there.
what you have is still considered MS with very very many strains still present most of which are fruiters.

keep your casing layers moist and you'll see some pins. you should've just filled the cups to the rim, those small subs dry fast.
