What do the left leaning american guys here make of John Kerry? Is he anything more than the "corporate puppet on the left hand"?

He's a corporate bitch just like the rest of 'em, but that's politics in America for you. At least he's not Bush.

While I think that there are a ton of arguments to be made that Kerry is in the same mold as the current crop of white elite and even some comparisons to Bush (Yale, Skull and Crossbones, been in bed with Big Business for years), I don't think he shares the same viewpoints insofar as the role that corporate interests should play in effecting political policy. To the Bush cabal, there is NO discernable difference between corporate interest and public policy. They see no problem with the rich getting richer, the ultra-rich getting ultra-richer, and corporations becoming more powerful than any single citizen - and more to the point, they see no problem with this being done at the expense of the American people as a whole. Kerry, however, is not cut of the same cloth here. He plays the game a little too well for my tastes, but I truly believe that the best interest of his constituents - be they in Mass or eventually every citizen of the US - is something he takes to heart, honestly, and tempers his behavior and political self-interest with the interests of the people. Do I think he's the best of the available candidates? Not so much. When this all started, I'd have picked him only ahead of Lieberman and Sharpton (and eventually Clark). Do I think he's a better choice to lead this country than El Shrubbo? By a factor of about a zillion. Of course, there's still time to get John Edwards nominated http://www.johnedwards2004.com/home.asp Gern

Ya, I was just about to say don't count out Edwards. Kerry would be a minimal upgrade.

Kerry, in the news today, is against gay marriage and against a constitutional amendment to forbid it. Will someone somewhere please nail this bag of shit down to a position on anything, anything at all.

Probably won't happen.
Equally as bad though is a candidate that gives his position clearly then fails to follow through on much of it. Like GW.

Lieberman and Sharpton????? You got a thing about Jews and Niggers??? At least you knew their position on something. I can't tell the bitch Kerry's position on anything. Vote for the invisible man. You all are contributing to the dumbing down of America by not demanding that he take a position on anything, anything at all. The anybody but Bush attitude is camel logic. Please, come up with somebody with a clue or, absent that, an idea, anything. I dream of McCain beating the snot out of the skank Hillary in 2008. Never forget that Rudy would have slaughtered her if he hadn't gotten cancer. NYC was better off for it but not the rest of the country

I'm going to assume this is rhetorical. That way I don't have to actually dignify that with an answer, as any answer I give would likely not be the right one.
