Identification help?
    #23684690 - 09/27/16 09:45 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Hello All,

I am new to mushrooms and have been out foraging for some, this is my first time hunting for any, and I wanted to know if I have researched good info on where to look.

I do not mean to post something that is noobish, but I just wanted a second set of eyes on it.

Here is what I know:

Location: Western Washington (Graham if you're familiar with this area), right next to a sizable lake.

Habitat: Lots and lots of blackberry bushes protecting some tall grass (deergrass?); under the tall grass, and from the soil. None taken from wood.

I feel like I may have found 2 small liberty caps, but am unsure on that and the others

Those definitely are not active looks like you have a mix of fairy ring mushrooms and  some sort of Psathyrella

Thank you so much! I've learned a few more things tonight for the next hunt too.

I see some nasty old Agrocybe specimens, A Lepiota (or maybe Leucoagaricus) species, A Mycena sp, What looks like it could be an Entoloma ,also old and slimy.
I do see one tiny mushroom that could be Marismus oreades.
Don't eat any of them.

I picked to ID for years before I found anything that I both wanted to eat, and was confident in my ID enough to do so. keep at it!
