First PE grow need advice

This is my first ever grow using anything other than PF Tek. I colonized WBS with agar inoculated using a PE syringe. Spawned to Coir/Verm/Gypsum and everything was looking good. Opened tub up to harvest and they look really funky. I was going to ask you guys before why they seemed to be growing up then downward and sideways but decided to wait and see what they do. I uploaded some pics of them before I picked the bigger ones off, this is the bigger of the 3 mini mono's I have; Its only 12qts, the other 2 are 6qts (I wanted to dip my toes in before jumping into mono's).

looks like you got some blobs on your substrate but your mushies look good. Only one i think is suspicious is in the last pic its mad blurry but looks funky for sure...could just be a mutant but could also be dangerous

Thanks for the quick responses guys. Yeah, I saw those blobs they look really funky especially on the second pic those two brain looking things. That last pic I see what you are saying...there was a few kinda like that but that one is really funky. It's like the base grew really fat then the cap grew super tiny I call that one the inverted penis LOL.
So any suggestions on what I should do guys? Anything I can do for the blobs? Anything I can do to correct the growing down and sideways stuff? Does that have anything to do with RH and FAE or anything like that? Or is it just my luck that my first flush was like watching Sloth from the Goonies form in my tub?

The blobs are potent af so just roll with it. The second flush will come out better. Next time case

Thanks NumeroEno...so after I let the rest finish, flush it, and dunk...should I add a casing layer for the second flush or just roll with what I got for the rest of the grow?
I have a 66qt tub of B+ almost at 100%...I'll be sure to case that!

After you harvest the mushrooms you can either dunk it or mist it. I wouldn't add a casing layer after the first flush. I'd just let em ride. The B+ doesn't necessarily need a casing. Regular cubes don't blob out like PE, but casings are helpful to retain moisture if you live in a dry climate.

Also OP PE tends to grow all funny like that with no direction, it doesn't like to stand up like regular cubes. Harvest when the stems look gnarly and bumpy under the cap!
Great job bud!

I don't know it looked green to me? Which led me to think of a possible mold growth on it. But the picture is too blurry for me
But if it's good it could be "dangerously potent" lol

Thanks for all the input guys!! I thought they looked kinda green too but under different lighting, it's more of a bluish color. This tub is the funkiest of the three...I mean the other two are growing a little funky but not as crazy as this one. Hopefully, these will be some potent fungi!

Thank you, Jacob!
Another question...what is the best way to flush them? I was just pulling them yesterday but I see a lot of people cut them. When I was pulling them they were coming up with coir attached and all...does this matter?
Just want to reiterate this is the first time I've done anything other than BFR cakes!!
Thanks, KB

Usually you just twist and pull, very little sub should come up when you do this. fruits are lookin' nice!

You want to do your absolute best to not destroy that sub. In most cases you can twist and pull, like Leech is saying but if its going to tear up the sub, you want to cut it from the substrate.

Thanks for all the advice guys. So my first flush came out to a little over 33g, from 1 12qt tub and 2 6qt tubs, and they are all weird mutant looking ones. I tried them last night and holy F'ing crap they are intense; I've never tripped so hard, ever!! The second flush is almost complete and they look a lot more normal than the first flush. These second flush ones are so much taller and meatier than the first ones were.

Yeah, I kinda got it figured out...the first flush was so weird and blobby but I was able to rock most of them back and forth and side to side, to loosen them up, then twist and pull and they came out pretty good.
Edit: Wanted to add Pics of the first flush weight and the second flush growing!
