So I'm on my phone typing this so i will make it quick. Pretty much all my cakes contamd or just stop growing so not even a month ago i transferred the last cake into apot outside with soil already in. Sprinkled some gypsum, lightly mulched with random dead leaves and shit lying around. Went out this morning to check on them and send love like i do every couple of days. And to my complete surprise i discover these beauties peeking at me.
While i was deeply hoping to see a shroom in a few months or a year or so, i have these within the month of being transferred. I will say, pins were present at the time, removed but present.

Update oct-3 2016 Just discovered new (3rd) patch in the pot.

You expected to see something in a couple months or a year? Thats a big no way.
Outside grows kick ass, so easy. Huge fruits too usually. Thing that sucks is that everything outside wants a piece of your fungus especially slugs and rollie pollies.
Nice job homie!

Thank you! Now my focus is on keeping this thing going. I'm letting a few go to spore but I'd love any input and tips. Should i worry about mulching or feeding with something other than gypsum, such as horse manure (fresh, local) or black kow compost?
I am also considering buying more spores to make more cakes to spread outside or potentially saving spores fin one of these lovelies.

If you wanna take a spore print, do it from an indoor grow. Its easier to get a "clean" print that way. Lots of good print teks here if you use the search engine.
I dont know what the temps are in your area but your mushies will be good as long as its not dropping into the 50s.
Also you may want to consider grabbing a big flower pot to use instead of putting it directly in the ground. That way you have a little more protection from critters and insects.
You dont need to feed or give any nutrition to your plot once you set it up, just water regularly. Horse poo is good, mix it in with your crumbled cakes. I also like to put a garbage bag with a shit load of little holes poked through ontop of my flower pot grows. You get a nice humidity tent that allows for fresh air and water to enter as well.

Thanks man. I live in central Florida so temp isn't too much of an issue. It does get cooler here than south Fl,but perhaps i can bring it indoors or cover it because actually This set up is in a pot. When i say 'garden' they're all pots because i currently live in an apt.
Good point about the prints. I think i will just order more for now and start more cakes.
Harvested two this morn, veils broke while still small but i don't care about size right now. The experience on its own is spectacular.

I'm in your area, I threw a quart jar mixed with hpoo outside in a shady spot. They are popping up everywhere and I didn't do a thing. Mother Nature has that shit on cruise control.
These were the first: sorry blurry
including this fatty

Just checked this morning and there's 18 more pins....joy

Oh my, they're gorgeous! Nice. What made you toss the cake outside? That big guy gives me hope for bigger ones myself. Eat any yet?

It wasn't ready when the others were and I didn't have any room to spawn it. So I let the yard have it. Nah, I used the fruits I had to make clones on agar.

Lol yeah, I've been lucky so far. I must have some straight edge insects in my yard, not one munch mark in any of the fruits I've picked.

Dig a hole about the size of a solo cup and put the cup in the hole and fill it with a beer. The slugs will be drawn to it and fall in and drown.
