I wouldn't leave em in that bag too long, wet like that. I like using a large Tim Horton cup. I've been approached many times while picking, I mean taking pictures.....lol, and just throw my lid on the cup and literally walk away pretending to sip on my coffee.

It was pouring out and our paper bags were soaked so we used the plastic tii we got back to car. Tim's cup is a great idea! We have permission from a farmer to pick so not worried much in that sense but great idea for more public spots!

total dry weight is 14.6 G from that 1 hunt (5 hours of hunting) blowing our record of 5.5 G out of the water certainly was a pick to remember I've had good days, but never have i experienced a day when it was impossible to not find them clusters everywhere unreal ,...for two days afterwords whenever i closed my eyes i could see libs in vivid detail and on top of all that, we finally asked the owner of the property if we could hunt there and he is fine with it, he even walked with us and pointed them out for us amazing,.... literally a dream come true, we fantasized about that day for several years no more running to the edge of the field when we hear a truck pulling up sorry for the rant 0.o happy hunter over here

Few more small flushes in my spot that seemingly popped up over the weekend.

and.... Finally Day #6 of my Libcation Pt.1 on Oct,26th,16 was by Far the Best! I hit 2 New Spots. The 1st I dubbed "The Honey Pot" was by Far the Best I've seen in at least a Decade... Unfortunately it is in a very busy, very public spot! I snapped a couple quick photos when I 1st got there but then put the Camera away and just tried to snag what I could. There were literally thousands there, with one patch of a few hundred being the nicest group I've ever seen... I'm still pissed I didn't run back and grab the camera just to snag a quick shot but it was at the farthest area in the Spot and the Shear Number of onlookers, plus the length of time I'd been there and amount I'd already picked got the better of me Anyway though the pics make it seem like the worst day but it was by Far my Best! After that we went to where we were staying and, lo and behold, more Libs! This Area I'm Calling "The Barn Yard" So.... in summary, Shitty Pics... Great Day!

Well... Before my Libcation Pt.2 I couldn't resist getting to the "H-Zone"..... So Glad I did! For the last few years I've only ever found random stragglers here & There. 2 Years Back I ran into an Older Man there who seemed a bit Stand-Offish when I said "Hello". He seemed annoyed that I spoke to him but I noticed he had a bucket he was just throwing random mushrooms in. When I said "Nice Collection" he said "Yeah they're Liberty Caps".... I pointed out that a few were but most were not and told him which were.... Perhaps my simply trying to stop him from consuming a "Hodge-Podge Mushroom Tea" was where I messed up In My over 25 years of Lib Hunting I've met some really cool people in fields.. Mostly "Amateurs"& "Novices", Like Myself. I usually try and help if I can, or gladly accept any knowledge they wish to share.... I'll continue to be that way with people who seem cool... But I think the next Guy like this I may just leave be As I was walking back to my GF Today I saw this very man again... As I would with anyone I said "Hello"... He rapidly walked by cutting a shitty look at me and refusing to respond. Not that it matters in this story but... I'm not a small guy, nor am I one to shy away from confrontation... I've been in more Knock-Down Drag-Outs than I can remember... being on both ends of them plenty of times As I said though, he was an older, somewhat Frail looking man and I didn't want to escalate the situation by calling him out on it.... I'd never lay a hand on someone like that if they "got stupid" with me anyway... I prefer to Fight aggressive people with "Tough-Guy Bully" mentalities! Anyway I'm sure he has been the one pillaging this area the last few years... Not like either of us own the area but I noticed he went directly to a spot where I left some little Baby Pins and started frantically ripping them up with clumps of grass which he was angrily stogging in his bucket... Over the last few years I knew I was showing up after someone because I would find the grass all parted, with footsteps and Litter thrown around each main spot... as I left I watched him throw some garbage and thought about walking back again... but... why bother... I knew I already picked any Libs worth picking and nothing good was going to result.
So... One Shitty Picker... but one Great Day at the "H-Zone" on Nov,8th,16

Entertaining story to read, and thanks for the pics. Reminds me of a guy I encountered while hiking this summer.

Found another 30 or so, for a total of around just over 100 from my spot so far. Found this pretty big one 3 or 4 times bigger than any of the others I've found. Stem was also a lot shorter than most of the libs I've found. It was growing with some other libs. I mean, it looks like a lib to me? You guys often come across any monster ones like this?

Yup.... I find "Bobble-Heads" like that quite often! If you look in my last batch of pics there might be a couple of them.... but they're in their habitat so there is nothing to use for comparison. It does seem that Giant Caps either have super short stems or really long ones too. The Biggest one, last hunt but might not be in my Pics, the Cap is actually split/Busted and the stem was doubled over with grass propping up the half-fallen Cap! Anyway Congrats on your successful season so far Fellah! I'm on the 2nd half of my Libcation but unfortunately it's been terrible here.... I did better before. It's very dry & very warm here which is almost unheard of down here. Supposed to have a few showers overnight & possibly tomorrow but nothing yet. Then beautiful for like a week In my 2 days "out" I found 2 Libs... 1 per Day!.... Fingers crossed for tomorrow as I took today off for Remembrance Day. Anyway #LestWeForget & Cheers to the Veterans! To everyone else Good Luck Hunting & Keep your Eyes peeled!

Well... Libcation Pt.2 was a BIG FAT BUST.... after a full week in the Stixx I averaged 1 Lib per Day! It was so dry & warm the entire week, it was pitiful! I've never seen it like that, especially Mid November! The Day I left it poured and it's supposed to do so for the next week... Then get cold again so I'm sure they will be everywhere then! I strategically timed to be there during, what was peak time last year.... but it's just how it works... sometimes you hit the big "Flushes"... sometimes ya don't! ohhhh well.... best of luck to those still hunting! Maybe I'll get one more in before it's over!
