i don't know if Hillary won but it wasn't a good performance by Trump.
he needs to go back to calling people a "mess" and a "waste" and similarly simple yet effective insults instead of worrying about facts. he's no good with those.
He's still got my vote though.
Like that one hillary commercial that takes place in the timeline where kids watch CNN says, he could shoot a man in times square and not lose a single voter.

Trump did very good for half an hour.
Then he slipped when the moderator asked about unimportant things such as the Obama birth certificate.
Trump could have crushed clinton over the emails, especially during the cybersecurity question, but he didn't.
Overall, I think Clinton did better but I don't think any candidate will have won or lost support.

That was my own deduction. i don't believe the media. At least not when it comes to their opinions on Trump.
the part about the hillary commercial is separate of that.

Really? Id say it was pretty clear trump did better and i dont care for either one of them. However i really fucking hate hillary. The media overall is against trump so if you caught the aftermath from the talking heads youd get an inaccurate depiction.
On a semi related note, i saw one of those stupid tabloid magazines the other day and it had hillary on the cover photoshopped looking like she caught super zombie aids lol.

i just don't think he destroyed her as thoroughly as he could have and that he shouldn't have gone on the defensive like he did a few times.
He should have just been like "so what?" instead of denying he said things that you can go verify with a quick google search.

True, however i think that was a cheap shot on her part. I mean he called rosie odonnel a fat pig or some shit and i mean come on, most people feel that way ha. I know there was more to it than that though.
Also, anyone notice that lester kept trying to cut trump off in his responses like a LOT.
I think if trump behaved the way he did durring the debates last night earlier on he'd be in better shape.

yea it was obviously set up to work against him. The CNN poll was also biased against him but in their defense they stressed this for like 5 minutes before announcing the results.
"keep in mind 80% of those questioned were democrats...now here are the polll results"
kind of pointless poll at that point but at least they were upfront about it.

Yeah he fucked up, man. Those stand right now as big missed opportunities. There were a few occasions were some softballs were lobbed right over the middle of the plate. Shit he should've pounced on and hit out the park.
But he just watch them go right by him.

lol....how can anyone think that Trump won that debate....even his own camp says he lost and needs to do better next time. His best bet would be to back out of the remaining two....at least then, we wouldn't have to revert to his bullying meltdowns that have the vocabulary equivalent of an ADHD fourth grader..lol(almost said 5th grader, but thought better of it). It's like his brain shuts down and goes into auto-playground defensive mode.
He couldn't prepare because he's incapable of doing anything other than whipping up frothy crowds with hollow rhetoric and reading off of cue cards....take them away and you have the real Donald Trump...an empty shell of an over sized ego that has to resort to elementary school tactics rather than use substance to respond to thoughtful and realistic hard questions that require hard answers. good bye Donald...

maybe it's a new strategy.
He even stated that he was holding back on some things out of respect for Hillary. He alluded to something that i think he hasn't mentioned yet. Probably pedophilia accusations or hillary's defending of rapists and attacking rape victim.
it was something along the lines of "i could say x but i'm not going to because i decided it wouldnt be right".
Maybe he should have just said it.
He'll learn from this though. Even CNN pundits admitted that Hillary was far more experienced in this format. She is good at playing politician. Trump is just being himself.

He was embarrassingly bad. Trump supporters like that though. They find studipity appealing.
How dumb can you be to do coke before a 90 minute debate. He was amped up for the first 20 minutes, then you could watch the energy just drain out of him. He ended up looking like the low energy candidate in a debate with a terminally ill woman.

Lol gimme a break. The reason you could hear his sniffles is because he spent no time preparing for the debate , so nobody on his team had an opportunity to say "Donald. You need to step back from the microphone when you inhale." It's just another example of him being in way over his head.

THat's an interesting take on it. i'll have to rewatch it.
The flipside of that though, would be that people who complained about his bullying are bullies themselves.

Trump has a reputation for consistently and aggressively defrauding companies, contractors, employees, etc. Being at odds with other disreputables doesn't change that.

Trump actually started real strong but then Hillary started baiting him, and it was working like a charm. She had him wrapped around her finger during the back half of that debate.
Trump's team needs to really get him to put the blinders on and reinforce the fact that he can't get baited into trivial ass shit like what he said on the Howard Stern show or why he called Rosie O'Donnell a fat pig
Dude needs to lock himself in a room and re-watch the first half hour of the debate, and watch it repeatedly
If he can go at her like that and have tunnel vision, and not get sidetracked into trivial shit then he actually has a chance
But if not then he's going to get steamrolled the rest of the way

So you thought he just started talking about that out of thin air? She specifically pointed out how he called a woman a pig. That pig in question was Rosie O'Donnell.
Instead of Trump being on the attack she had him wasting time defending himself about some meaningless insult that he said like two years ago about a C-list celebrity.
She baited him and it worked to perfection.

His problem is he speaks too long before breathing and then has to suck in a lot of air quickly. If you notice Clinton would pause after ten words or so to breathe. These are techniques you learn if you care to take the time instead of winging it.

Trump wanted us to invade Libya. He complained we were sitting back while the Libyan people were being killed. It's easy to say you don't have blood on your hands when you don't have any real responsibility besides firing celebrities on a tv show.

I watched a few minutes of it before I lost interest. She was talking about how the donalds tax plan was going to cost millions of jobs, and that her glorious tax plan, which she didnt give any details on. Was going to magically create 12 million jobs. Instantly. The crowd went wild. I had a good laugh.

I'm not going to argue who's a better candidate but from a strictly debating standpoint Hillary gave a far better performance than Donald.

I'm watching the debate again and I have to say, I'm 40 minutes in and theonly major slip up Trump had was when he said that hillary has been fighting isis for her entire adult life. Hillary didn't really manage any KOs.
For anyone who only watched that part of the debate and then switched channel, it wouldn't have been a vote changing event.

Daily Mail: Trump Won Debate in Majority of Polls
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3809204/Most-snap-polls-Trump-winning-debate-landslide.html
This is turning out to be the same as the R primarys: It appears that Trump lost but polls show him winning.
Why? 1) Hillary is a horrifically bad candidate 2) The people are ready for something different.

CNN admitted that they polled people leaning democrat. They were honest from the start about it so it was to be expected.
What I find strange is that the polling companies have them both tied up. Yet Internet polls from practically everywhere almost always end up in Trump's favor. I noticed this a while back and I still don't know how to explain it. Although I have a theory
People know they will be seenbadly if they openly say they support trump. Give them anonimity and suddenly you see reality.

Like I said, it's easy to criticize someone who actually makes decisions and can be held accountable. Trump benefits from the fact that he doesn't do anything of actual consequence. He can sit back and be an armchair general saying things like "we should help the people of Libya ," then turn around and criticize the person who actually made the decision to do exactly what he said we should do.

Are you kidding? Trump supporters freeped the polls. That is what conservative do. Right leaning websites link to online polls asking readers to vote and vote often. Even the word "freep" comes from the fact that this kind of thing was started by the right wing blog, the free republic.
Only truly delusional people think Trump won. Even the regular trump heads were nowhere to he seen last night in the debate threads. I can only assume they were too embarrassed by his performance to try their boilerplate arguments they've been programmed to make.

In 2008 Ron Paul was 1st in most of the online polls during the primary, as well as some TV polls. He ended up with only about 1.2 million votes (to put it in perspective, McCain got over 9 million) and 4th place despite his good poll numbers. The results were skewed because he had a lot of supporters purposefully skewing the results by getting people riled up enough to vote in them.
That's just one example I can think of to explain how these polls (don't) work. They are skewed by exposure. Certain demographics see them because they are targeted, either passively or aggressively. You can't take CNN or Fox News polls seriously for obvious reasons. You can't take little online polls seriously for even more obvious reasons - they aren't made to be reliable indicators of anything in the broad sense. They are instead better indicators of what particular demographics might think. People who all go to the same sites, and get the same facebook feeds.

Lol... statistics show otherwise. Statistically liberals have higher IQ's than conservatives.
Kanazawa did a study and concluded that liberals and atheists are more intelligent than conservatives and religious people. And for men, if you're monogamous, you're more likely to be intelligent. For women, being monogamous doesn't seem to correlate with anything.

mehhhhh, I really don't care for these studies done on the softer side of psychology for the purpose of creating filler for the nightly news. Kanazawa is also a bit of a fruit-bat it seems.

On monogamy - well yeah, any man that gets married is obviously not thinking straight. This has been known for thousands of years, no studies needed.

She didn't mention gender in relation to the election, but now that you mention it, one is a man and the other is the first major woman nominee, I'd say there is a gender component here

Trump went on Fox News this morning and defended calling the miss universe contestant a pig, saying she was terrible and gained a lot of weight.
Was that the "pig" in question? Okay, stand corrected. That said she still baited him. And it's not like I'm saying that she baited him is a bad thing. That's a good thing if you're Hillary.
It was like taking candy from a baby if you're her. She had the guy talking about stupid comments he made about people nobody in the country gives a shit about, whether it was Rosie or this Miss Universe contestant. When Trump could've been grilling her about real topics and questions about her political past. But instead he spent time defending himself about petty insults he said years ago.
It was a textbook and elementary tactic that Trump's elementary ass fell for hook, line, and sinker. I'm sure Team Clinton had a good long laugh about it too after the debate wrapped up.

It's so hard to say trump won that. He was on his heels and completely out of his league. Came off as incompetent for the presidency and diplomacy. I hate Hillary Clinoton but as far as debates go this is an obvious grand slam for Clinton
I Said this in a different thread but on top of my previous concerns i.e. Cutting trade with China,Building a giant retarded wall he somehow thinks we can make Mexico pay for it,thinking Putin is a strong leader, making fun on the mentally handicapped, trying to say war heros aren't heros if they were POWs while that rich piece of shit got out of the draft, punishing women for abortions, monitoring mosques, claiming that we will have no qualms about nuclear warfare outside of the context of world war, calling people names constantly, extremely easy to provoke. The list goes on and on and on.
His political ideas involving finance aren't bad but outside that not only is he unequipt but would be voliatile in careful international agreements, trading, military and medical expenses. Just being presidential is the biggest issue for me. He can't do it.
Quote:
Seriously_trippin said: Trumps true colors showed and I was actually thinking of voting for him but this debate confirmed that he knows about buisiness and bullying . If he answered a question straight without referring to numbers and how hillary and Obama single handedly destroyed America but if he were president everything would be fine. I hate Hillary Clinton but this debate showed she can be presidential and keep poise during a simple debate where trump couldn't. He used half hillarys speaking time.
Directly "disagreed" about a fucking fact presented by Lester Holt and refused to stay calm or on topic. He tried to get Hillary to break and stoop to his level of childness that he is so fond of using against his republican opponents . I think it demonstrated that the little sliver of hope I had of him being presidential and or serious at this stage of the race is not only gone but even more terrifying then I thought. He can't be allowed to I was about to either vote trump or not at all but this one debate has me almost resolute to vote Hillary.
Trump didn't even dignify the question about his support of the Iraq war (which by the way, isn't too hard to brush off i.e. "That was many years ago etc" instead he just said that's not true! I'm super cereal
Also completely dismissed the questions about wether or not he thought his comments toward women were presidential and he basically said filler filler filler " I did say Rosie o'Donald was a pig and i think everyone can are with that" tasteless and he just cannot represent the American people.

I would say more that Trump lost the debate, than I would say that Clinton won it.
I thought some of the things he said at the very start were pretty right on, but towards the end (at least of what I listened to) he went on about how he had a preferable temperament, and I just thought he had to be joking.
Not a Clinton supporter but I thought that listening to Trump last night was painful.

Lol gimme a break. The reason you could hear his sniffles is because he spent no time preparing for the debate , so nobody on his team had an opportunity to say "Donald. You need to step back from the microphone when you inhale." It's just another example of him being in way over his head.

Lol... statistics show otherwise. Statistically liberals have higher IQ's than conservatives.
Kanazawa did a study and concluded that liberals and atheists are more intelligent than conservatives and religious people. And for men, if you're monogamous, you're more likely to be intelligent. For women, being monogamous doesn't seem to correlate with anything.

so a ;liberal did a study and claimed that liberals are more intelligent than conservatives.

Ok, nice cherry pick of the only poll where he is leading. Nate Silver has shown that poll has a 5 point Trump bias for months.

It actually makes sense to me that if you believe in a certain way or ideology, you are activating different neurons and pathways in your brain, that causes you to think differently in other unrelated ways over time.
This means that if different regions in your brain are more hyperactive than others, you are going to be either more or less adept at certain skills those region of the brain use for types of activities and thinking.
So, for example, people who are more extroverted might be more prone to alcoholism or exhibitionism (I'm not saying this as a fact, I just pulled something random out of my ass just as an example), simply because the pathways of the brain that promote addictive and thrill-seeking behavior might also be the same regions of the brain which we primarily use when we interact with others socially.
So, it might be the same thing regarding higher IQ and correlation with liberalism. Scientist are overwhelmingly liberal, for instance. A study by the PEW Research Center concluded that only 6% of scientists identify as Republican, and only 9% identify themselves as conservative. 52% describe themselves as liberal, while 14% describe themselves as "very liberal."
I'm thinking, perhaps it has something to do with the fact that people who are more liberal-oriented in mind, have a tendency to think that way because doing lots of math or critical thinking exercises for example, activates regions of their brain that correlate with liberal thought process.
But I'm not a scientist, so I'm just speculating here.

and you're saying that liberals are more intelligent because of this?
the anti-GMO/vax movements are primarily comprised of liberals, the people that watch Dr.Oz and all these other fictional, conspiracy nutter doctor shows that give bad advice and spread lies about drugs are predominantly liberals, the chemtrailers and 9/11 conspiracy theorists are predominantly liberals, the people that believe the iraq and afghanistan wars were all about oil are predominantly liberals. dont you think they opened their minds to a different way of thinking?

No they're not, almost all the nutters that I know that haven't vaccinated their kids are all ultra-conservative dingbats. They don't trust the big bad government because Obama is poisoning us and trying to control our minds by injecting us with vaccines and chemtrails. So, down with government regulation because all the government wants to do is take your money--sounds pretty conservative to me.
9/11 conspiracy theorists..... predominantly.... liberals? Erm.... no. All my friends who are voting for Trump believe that 9/11 was a false flag operation. Peyote Zen is one of these people.
One of my most conservative Jesus freak friends truly believes JFK was assassinated because he was trying to divide the country over race wars, and because JFK was trying to get rid of the federal reserve (how?), and because he was exposing the elite globalist powers that are controlling our military, economy, and country's population.
And even if it were true that liberals believe such conspiracy theory nonsense, don't forget that there are conservatives out there who believe Obama was born in Kenya (despite no evidence whatsoever proving this claim), that his mother was a porno star, that Sandy Hook was a false flag operation designed to take our gun rights away, that the Jews are conspiring to allow Muslims to take over our country, that Obama himself is a Muslim, that the Holocaust never even happened, and of course that Hillary Clinton is dying of AIDS.
I wonder if the intelligence averages for liberals works on a bell curve. Meaning they will have populations with "higher than average" intellect levels, but they will also have a standard deviation of a significant population with a "lower than average" intellect level too.
