Too late for an outdoor grow?

I've been meaning to start an outdoor cube grow all year but haven't gotten around to it. Is it too late if I start in the next week? I would be using brf cakes and moe's tek. I live in North Carolina

Should of thought about that earlier in the year.
What's the temps right now? Surely getting too cold here. Lows down in the 40's at night. Great time of the year to plant morel sclerotia.

This is the average annual temps for a city near me. If i start by October I could have them in the ground by November. At that point temps would be low 40s at night, mid 60s during the day

Below 65*F growth will slow so add like a week to however fast it may take to fruit under ideal conditions
Having tried growing in a basement with no heat in winter even more north of you taught me that.
Go for it if you think it'll realistically put out

I'm not sure if it will realistically put out, thats why I'm asking shroomery. Any other thoughts? Would cubes grow in temps where the high is 60 and low is 40?

Not very well. It's not going to be 60 for much of the 24hour day. 40 is damn cool and it's going to get cooler.

This is a graph of last year's november and december weather. They would be out in November. As you can see, unfortunately it did occaisonally drop to the 30s, however at times the low was as high as 50+ and the high was usually 65+

Also, is there any type of cubensis that grows better in cold weather? Or a type that colonizes quickly? Both of those could help

Bump
Is there a realistic chance that burying 12 cakes in my November temps could yield me half an oz or more?

Let me put the raiding thing a different way. Let's say some idiot decides to break in to the home you live in. First thing you do is call the police its the normal thing to do. Police arrive and investigate they do a sweep of the house. Which without a warrant they have the right to do. So they aren't really getting into your stuff much but they open all closets and door to make sure no one is hidding. One second changes everything they open the closet and see your grow. Its over everyone in the house goes to jail. Everyone is charged. You might laywer up and get out of to much trouble but the fees with kill you money wise. Any no one locally will hire you or your roomies because your painted on the news as public emeny number one over nothing.

Yeah the thing is that it takes them forever to even get out here lol. By the time they do, people have already left. People round here do everything themselves. Including shoot at trespassers lol. Actually there's no reason to involve cops out here unless someone abandoned their truck in a ditch or something.
Also at OP. Unless you have frosty mornings in November, you can most definitely grow outside in low temps

Or just interested to see if they can fruit in low temps.. yeah I've fruited outside when mornings dropped to frost levels (30-35). It was fun, and showed just how resilient these bastards are. Very dense fruits too.

Oh, fhank you very much for your take. I don't remember walking outside to frost on a november morning. So fruiting outdoors in 30-60 degree weather is possible?

Sooo according to Weather Spark, my town's novembers spend around 10% of the time at 32 degrees and under while spending about 50% of the time at 50 degrees and up
