Working midnights and getting back in shape.

I'm reaching a weight again that my knees don't like. I'm tall as fuck, so when I hit a certain weight I can really feel it in my joints. The worst shape I have ever been in was when I worked midnights for 2 years straight and ate pizza 3-5 times a week.
Well, here I am again. Going on a year and a half of midnights, and roughly 100 pizzas. I feel like shit. I'm getting me some titties again. My ankles and my knees are starting to feel terrible with the change in seasons coming.
When I got into peak physical condition I had started in prison, and kept it up when I got out. I worked a full time 2nd shift job, so I would eat 3-5 square meals a day, go to bed by 2am, wake up by 10, and get my hour to 1.5 hour work out in by noon.
Now I sleep all fuckin day. I get off work at 7am and am drained as hell. I get home and just feel like crap, my body is exhausted and my mind is racing. I fall asleep by 10 and wake back up around 6-7 pm but then my mind is exhausted and my body is too.
I don't ever feel rested enough. I never feel like I can manage the proper diet to not crash and burn at work, and I work a job where I sit on my ass all night drinking coffee to stay awake ( when I am serious about exercise I cut coffee and cigarettes out of my life, and I am now a heavy heavy smoker and it's really taking a toll on me )
Anyone else work midnights and still lift, do yoga, and cardio?
What tips do you have? When is the best time to grab the weights? How should I go about not crashing at work? What's a good way to set up meals so I am getting proper nutrition to not be wasting my time with rigorous work outs and fucking up my joints?

You can reduce your workout times to 30-45 minutes depending on what you're chasing. If you're so inclined join a 24 hour gym and hit the weights after work, if not before. General rule of thumb is to lose weight is 70% what you eat 30% cardio, have a look on the bodybuilding forums and glean what information you can there, absolute plethora of information. There are formula you can use to determine how many calories you need to be eating to lose, maintain or gain weight that you can easily apply to your diet by doing stock standard meal prep.
If you can't be fucked with any of that just hit the weights hard and fast, eat your super foods and dont consume carbs or high sugar/fat foods after 5 or 6pm.

Well diet I know well. I did p 90 x two times through and got amazing results with it, and I just use those work outs since I still have them and all the equipment to do it.
I know how many servings of what to eat and how often to eat it, but it has no indication of how to go about it through midnights.
Like at work so I don't crash should I just keep a protein shake on hand and drink a bit every couple hours, or do I just act like 11pm-7am is 11am-7pm? Does the body transition? I feel like we are meant to sleep at night. I don't want to end up with injuries because I wasn't in position to lift.
The weight just burns itself when I build. If I was on a normal daily schedule sleeping at night, I'd have 20 lbs gone in 3 weeks and have my knees feeling fine and my abs back. But now I feel like I will be so exhausted, doing 6 days a week just won't be possible, and you are probably right on cutting the work outs in half.
I don't feel like joining a gym, I live in a huge house alone, and I have 2 lbs-50lbs in dumbbells and a pull up bar and yoga mat. I don't really bench often, I guess do varied push ups and a lot of extreme yoga.

Stop eating pizza.
Stop masturbating so much, you said you watch a lot of porn, so am guessing you fap like crazy, don't fap and you'll have a boost in energy.
Drink lots of water, abstain from alcohol if you can, so many empty calories.

I haven't drank in a year.
I jerk off 2 times a day. I actually decided recently to stop to about once a week, youre very right on that for energy.
The main reason I eat pizza is working midnights. Its the only thing thats open. Tonight I brought cliff bars.
I need to start making stews or soups and bring those, or some stuff I can bake here. I definitely need to cut cheese and dairy down a lot too.
I'm more wondering when the best time to work out to avoid a crash is? I was thinking if I got my diet right to where I took in a lot of protein through out the night, get home and make a nice sized meal high in protein, little bit of carbs, and a good veggie smoothie, by 9 o clock I could smash weights for about an hour and be good for bed by 11. I just have a hard time sleeping immediately after a work out.

I feel like third shift is all about the schedule. At first I was sleeping in the mornings sometimes, and sometimes in the evenings. Then I got it down to where I was falling asleep right when I got home from work and sleeping till ~2pm and my energy levels came right back.
And chicken salads are the easiest thing ever to bring for lunch. Just baked a shit ton of chicken and cut it up however you like and put that shit with some leaf lettuce and spinach or whatever you like with it. Idk third sucks. I haven't seen the sun in weeks

When I started this job last july, I had already been rebuilding trailers in trailer parks for six months, and I was doing both jobs at once. 70-78 hour work weeks, but I lifted so much shit, sweat so hard, and swing a hammer so much in the trailers I was still in decent shape.......just fucking worn down. I wouldn't get to sleep til 4-5pm and then I would only get 5 hours max, and that's just not enough recovery time.

Man...midnights suck. It just seems like some people are made for them and some aren't. I think it has something to do with your inner clock. I always struggled with them back in the day...we would hit the bar at 8:00 in the morning after the shift..then pass out at home at noon and get up in time to start again.
The hard part was integrating weekends into it going back to normal time....and then back on Sunday night to do the whole thing over again. I don't really have any good advice for you except to try to incorporate some exercise into it....at least push ups / sit ups and some running or brisk walks. I was a budding alcoholic when I worked midnights and eventually a full blown one ...so, the bar stops really didn't work out so well.

Graveyard shift sounds a lot cooler than midnights.
I'd workout before you go to work. You'll get deeper levels of sleep when you get off and your body does a lot rebuilding at that time.

I've been working night shifts on and off for the last decade. So if I wake at 7pm, I've got breakfast in me by 8pm, and in the gym by 9pm.
Working out before work is key for me, never after. After work is for getting a little high and sleeping.

I think that's probably best though.
I think after this last bag of coffee I have I am quitting caffeine all together. It's dehydrating me so much.
I'm going to switch to green tea.
I'm also cutting creamer and cheese out of my diet ( cheese is going to be hard, if I do cave and drink coffee, black doesn't bother me ) but I know I will still eat a pizza from time to time.
I only have a mini fridge at home with no freezer, so preserving food to take to work is a bitch. And I can only go grocery shopping on my own once a week. The entire structure of my life right now is very upside down from what I was used to when I lost all my fat and gained all my muscle.
I weighed myself the other day and I am 210. Which would be great if it was muscle, but it's mostly water weight and fat. When I am at my leanest lowest body fat I am 172 and I am 6'6. It sounds too skinny but I look and feel amazing. When I was this weight I considered MMA since I wouldn't be in heavy weight class.
I think I will wake up with toast, eggs, and a veggie smoothie, then try to knock out 30 minutes of weights one day, 30 minutes of legs another, 30 minutes of yoga the next, each day doing 17 minutes of abs. This would be half of a P 90 x work out. Maybe hit the dual leg and arm day on a weekend, break on sunday and monday.
Been eating salami and pepperoni a lot, gonna switch back to turkey.
Chicken salads really are a good idea. I can cook 3-5 pounds of chicken breast and slice it up and keep it in the fridge, and that'll last a couple days. Instead of energy drinks go back to protein shakes.
I gotta do this. Man I ride my bicycle 15 minutes one way and I'm literally drenched in sweat panting.
I am gonna stop smoking cigarettes too when these are gone. I have to. They are fucking killing me and they stink.

Don't overload yourself with too many changes at once Van. I know how easy it is to slip off that.
Try one step at a time. Diet is a wicked one to start with IMO. Hold that for a while and then add in the next bit, etc.

This is true.
If you try to much to fast you're going to stress your body out, and this causes cortisol to be released, which is not good. You can find many good articles on exercising to much, and cortisol release, I suggest reading up on this.
I found that doing shorter but higher intensity workouts were more beneficial to myself, combine that with proper diet and nutrition, and I have energy all the time, perhaps this would help yourself.
Don't worry so much about looking a certain way which usually causes people to eat poorly, and exercise to much, just don't ever give up, that's what matters most. Make the looks side of things take second place to actually improving your health, the improved physical features will come, but if you put your health first over your looks, then you will be happier in the long run.
