Good Day to all I wanted to say hello.
I'm not new to forums per say I've spent many years on medical marijuana boards as both a grower and as a Moderator for a few of the sites. I'm a 50 yr old that has lived a couple of lives already so, I'm a bit broken.
I've been working to find some alternatives to help with what ails me along with my beloved cannabis I find myself turning to other natural things to enhance my treatment.
My sole purpose for signing up here is to learn how to cultivate mushrooms for my own consumption. From one end of the spectrum, I enjoy being high on mushrooms to I'd like to learn how to use them to help with the pain I have.
Your site is MASSIVE and I'm guessing this may take some time to find my way around. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.
My advice is to skip PF tek and go straight to monotubs. It is a lot less work, you don't need dozens and dozen of jars, and once the first flush comes in you will never want for mushrooms again.
Serious, a few big jars or even bags of spawn to a coir/vermiculite monotub is so much easier than PF tek. You can make it even simpler if you just buy presterilized spawn bags from one of our vendors.
Another really nice thing about monotubs is that your house doesn't look like a drug lab. Instead of all this crap you just have a few plastic tubs stuck somewhere. If you use spawn bags you can throw them away once empty for that much less drug manufacturing supplies cluttering up your home.
Heck, you can even get away with modified monotubs that only have holes on the back side. A little window in the top and you can set them on a shelf and they look like regular storage containers.
Yep, imagine a nice, neat house with a few storage containers on a shelf instead of a news story worthy drug manufacturing facility with potentially hundreds of jars and other pieces of junk everywhere.
If this doesn't make sense now, read up on growing for a bit and then come back. Just don't be afraid to start with monotubs because in my opinion they are actually a lot simpler than PF tek.
Anyway, welcome to the site.

Op said he/she just wants to grow for personal so that would be unnecessary because if he/she really gets into the hobby he/she will probably want to try a different variety every time.

Hello and welcome
I'd agree monos are looking like a good option with agar, but i started on pf tek, so easy but im headed onto agar and monotubs as seems straight forward, and greater results.
Im sure youll find what your looking for here either way

20-25 year olds get the best drugs and I always remember that saying from that age.
They definitely don't grow the best weed or mushrooms or make the best wax though. They ust hustle it.

Will there be girls there? Because if so, I think I we could wingman for each-other pretty damn well.

I think there might be one or 3 girls there, LOL! I am a good wing-man, my mate will be with me, he is very cool about recreational drug use and an all around good person as well. I am a social guy, I tend to talk to almost anyone, everyone in the place if I'm rolling. I can hold court without being too much. I invited a really hot older lady (40's) who is a grower and a knockout blonde (she got a ticket already for the saturday show, she might do the after party too), california looking natural beauty! I'll email a pic if I can find one. There is also a really hot brunette that is 24ish that I worked with for a year, she might be there too, and some of her friends, all hot.

Thank you all for the kind welcome.
I've been watching videos and reading this is just how I did it awhile back learning to grow cannabis.
Like I said earlier I'm a bit broken, I've got some messed up hands that don't work great at times so I'm looking at the easiest process to begin with. I've been on a couple of the sponsor sites too and I wondered about the simplicity of these "grow kits" where you simply add water.
Any good recommendation for one of your sponsors who ships into Canada with these "kits". Once I get familiar with how they grow I may get into making my own but to start I would try a kit.
One of those sellers also sell Truffles to consume can these be shipped to Canada I was in Amsterdam last year and had some Truffles and they were good. I'd like to try them again too.
Thank you again for the welcome this is a HUGE site wow I thought some of the pot forums were big. lol

If you don't want to fuck with the details/process of growing, a kit would be great to start. I ordered one a long time ago. It was a "just open and water" type kit. I got it to flush about 7 times! It is a great way to see the mycelium process and produce the fruits. You will get a perfect idea on what color it is supposed to be etc...

This user is former poster HighonToilet, also known as Sweatshirt after a username change.
Proof? I recalled reading this phrase somewhere, and after some digging I found it. HoH (sweatshirt) used to use this phrase ("what a long strange trip its been") ever so often in posts as well as ratings. Check out this rating he left for a user. I could probably find a few posts in which he used it too. Check it out. Coincidence? Maybe so...could be a simple reference to the Grateful Dead album of the same name. Maybe not. You decide...

Actually the phrase is from a Greatful Dead song, album title, and documentary. Maybe you're right, but it's not really all that unique. What I do think is odd is that you would have some kind of opinion on the frequency he used those words even though I'm pretty sure he was banned for months before you supposedly registered. But I'm sure you just really like reading everyone's ratings and old posts. I don't.
