Are these Liberty Caps?
    #23679657 - 09/26/16 12:01 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Hey All,
Been searching here in Western New Brunswick Canada but am new to this. Are these Liberty Caps and how would I know if they are poisonous? Very nervous as a newbie hunter.

Not a liberty cap. Looks like Inocybe sp., which is likely to be dangerously toxic.

Please post a gill shot as well. Any trees nearby?

What color are the gills and spores? Not a liberty cap as has already been said.

So what gives it away that they are not Liberty Caps? I thought for sure as they have the "nipple" :frown:

Basically everything. Read the description of Psilocybe semilanceata, and look at pictures.

That is not really a nipple - but an acute umbo.
