Your plants look great, and are they only getting windowsill lighting?

I would cut that long Bridgesii into several pieces, and root them all, then re-pot the base:thumbup:

All the smaller ones are on window sill yes and only getting whatever light comes thru not sure if its south facing or not but seems to get light most of the day if there are no clouds.

I was wanting to cut up the bridgsii yesterday but was thinking it is not the right time of year and paranoid about losing it or missing out on growth.

The 5ft pachanoi is at my friends house we went half's on it. I have reported it already but we are waiting for it to establish a bit more before we chop it up. One of us gets the bottom 1ft, one of us the top 1ft then we will share the middle section. Which ill probaly  make a few logs and try a graft out.

Awesome plants. The last one looks more like a bridgesii or peruvianus than pachanoi I think. Thanks for sharing. :sunny:

Thanks, means alot getting the thumbs up from fellow shroomites.

I paid £20 for the beast I couldn't believe my luck. I do know it was brought as a Trichocereus Pachanoi one of its forms, so could be a cross . The person I got it of was a keen cactus collecter and had hundreds of different cacti and succulents . It was totaly amazing and hard to explain just how big and extensive his collection was.

My 2 Bridgesii look totaly different from one another.
1 has massive spines for its small size.
And the other really tiny spines.

Its confusing???

A cross of pachanoi x bridgesii would make sense. I thought cuzcoensis before i saw the close up. Either way it's a nice plant, good score for that price

Also the very first one with the peyote graft on it is a T. cuzcoensis. The pup growing off makes it obvious, as well the hard white spines on the root stock. Second pic also cuzco.

Has anyone told you that those lophs will not do well n that same soil as the trichs?
They need much different water requirements
I like graft with the pup,
I'm sure someone already said it but if you remove the pup the loph will grow better

Thanks for the info, to bad I decided to pull off the loph and keep the pup growing. I had noticed the loph was sending out roots.

Maybe now I should of left it on and pulled off the pup...

THAT MAKES ALOT OF SENSE TO ME NOW......THANKS

I removed lophs from the trich soil and put the 3 in there own pot its soil is defo alot more free draining. But thanks for tip.

I never feed them anything.. Do you feed yours?? And if so what gives good results.
I'm thinking when the weather nice again I'm chopping the bridgsii and ill graft one of the horible looking peyotes on to it.

Don't know what happened to this one it looks grotesque and it tried sending roots above ground.

After being told my pachanoi was a cuzcoensis I've been looking around to try and prove you wrong lol.
I'm no expert and cant tell the diff between different trichocereus sub species. I read some where tho that cuzcoensis has no more than 6 spines per areole is that correct and can someone id my collection from these new close up pics.
Just your thoughts as I know you cant be 100% without first seeing it I the flesh

Sold as a pachanoi I was tolds a cuzco. Note how many spines are coming from the areoles. Spines vary in color. But only turned white when I cut it.

Sold as a Peruvian. Lack of v if u ask me. Spines where all brown. Maybe its my growing conditions because now these are turning white and growing out yellow. :\

Sold as a bridgsii this one I don't doubt. Check the big old thorns.

Sold as a bridgsii. Note the very small spines. It made me dubious. Check out the blue init. A couple inch gave threshold, cant wait to have a proper go.
I will stop chasing names and types after this post. I know its a loosing battle . But man iy makes for good conversation lol.

I stopped buying Peruvians and don't grow any simply because of the whole inactive problem and cuzco issue. It sucks to grow one out for a few years only to be so disappointed when it turns out to be weak/inactive.

I bought this as a cuzco from a reputable UK nursery, and it has more than 6 spines per areole, averaging 7 radials and 1 central

Its sucks for sure lol

Although not completely inactive my friend had 15g of the pach what's maybe a cuzco (skin green and white flesh, core removed) and got a mdma type high and was awake all night. Probaly the same feeling I got off the 2inchbof bridgesii.

I hear what your saying about the Peruvians. To be honest I don't want to eat it I just want many types in my window lmao.

What's yours cactus of choice???

Now then mostly harmless, that is nice . Variety between sub species is massive. Even variety in the same species is huge, how can anyone tell the difference for certain. It is mad. I think I counted 10-11 on the one in uncertain on. To be honest I don't think number of spines helps indentify.

What a head chew. Its discombobulating my thoughts .thinking about it.

  I love the logic with this one, I could just see some stoner sitting there staring at their cactus thinking how they could make it even cooler, then the eureka moment came when they decided to graft a yote button on it.
