Started out as black spots, then healed and scabbed over. Was told it was sunburn, so I moved them into partial shade, and it got better. Began in the early months of summer, as the heat was really getting cranked up. They are indoors atm due to very wet weather. They seem to be growing great, but the scarring us ugly. Should trichocereus cacti be grown in partial shade or full sun? I live in the south...

You need to gradually introduce them to full sun, otherwise they will get sunburn like you said. If you purchased them they may have been grown in shade and putting them into sun would cause them to burn. You can slowly add more and more sunlight over the course of days, weeks, even months, and they can then handle the full sun.

Bridgesii seems to be prone to that. Its starts with weeping black rot and then scabs. They seem to get and then overcome it.

Yeah I agree, and I've never owned a bridgesii yet that didn't at least get a minor case of this.

I agree, TBM's seem super prone to the black weeping rot, both of mine had it bad this year. As said it will dry up on its own and turn to scabby scars. You can see it starting in this pic a while back, has since dried up to a tan color
