Every online poll I've seen has Trump by a landslide. However, I thought that it was actually close. Trump left a lot of low-hanging fruit on the tree.
For example, when Hillary talked about Cyber security, all Trump needed to say to win big on that point was, 'Yeah, there is a serious cyber security problem, and we aren't going to let people set up private servers' He did zing her for the 33,000 unreleased e-mails.
So many of her attacks her could have countered better. Also, i thought she had a lot more talk time than he did.

There's no way Trump won that, It was hard to watch at times. Policy aside, just purely in terms of the personalities being projected I thought he handled himself pretty poorly
I tuned in hoping to see hillary stroke out or something but she maintained her smug composure the whole time and trump's answers consisted mostly of defensive babbling, he was clearly uncomfortable

I think Hillary should have really pressed the attack when Trumps blood pressure was up through the roof and he was stuttering. That Trump seemed reasonably composed for the majority of the debate was my fear.
Imo, Hillary creamed trump and got all of the zingers, but he's been spanked and booed in previous debates and yet here he is in the finals.
Trump all but admitted he pays $0 in federal taxes. That's way worse than I could've imagined

Audience?
You mean people who have donated millions to her campaign and her corporate handlers
It was funny how she kept talking about "fact checkers" Which of course is code for "media plz save meeeee!"

I think this particular debate won't change much, but there's still two left.
Trump did come off as stronger, but Hillary didn't do bad, I give Trump a 60/40 edge for tonight.

Lol at the audience being donors, the vast majority were Hofstra faculty and students. Both Trump and Clinton got cheers, though as I said, I think Hillary won the people in the room. "Stamina", and "I have prepared",

I'll say this... Hillary came off a lot better than I expected she would in tonight's debate. And she managed to not keel over dead.
Ultimately I don't think this debate will tip the needle much in either direction.

They fucking flew in another rich douchebag (mark Cuban) purely to troll trump.
The establisment has and always will be on her side. Holt hit trump with a question about tax return but didn't even press Hillary on emails cgn or the dnc leaks
How are we not even going to discuss the very worst things about Clinton. I don't give a fuck about her dumb prepared one liners. If she was so prepared on policy why did she make him look like a good businessman and expose her own lack of knowledge in the topic?

This I think we all agree on. Many past Presidents have done poorly throughout the debates.

Every poll out shows Trump winning substatially. Even slates. Now, I think it was tight, but here are some dynamics:
Hillary came across as very smooth, polished--and a total political insider. Trump came off as more genuine, but rough and unpolished--and as the outsider.
If you grade on who looked polished Hillary won. If you grade on who seemed to have a better vision, Trump won.
It's coming down to: More of what weve done for the last thirty years, or something different?
Here is the closest poll I've found: http://fortune.com/2016/09/26/presidential-debate-donald-trump-hillary-clinton-poll/

Obviously taxes need to be raised on the wealthy considering our record deficits, debt, and lowest top tax rates in history.
And yes, we need to regulate the banks.
No taxes don't need to be raised. Expenditures need to be cut. We spend $600Billion/year on defense spending and they were just talking about how obsolete the military equipment is. This money is being pissed away.
So how are we gonna have a non-obsolete military if we cut the defense budget?
I'm all for the move, but that reasoning confuses me.
Of course it confuses you. Because you think 'cutting the defense budget' means 'eliminating the defense budget', when clearly it does not. The majority of the money is squandered away and handed over to private contractors. If that were to stop, there would be plenty of money to actually spend on defense...

Here is an aggregation of the polls, updated regularly.
That being said, the polls mean jack shit this far out from election day.

Ild agree with your analysis
Trump came across as savvy.
Plus that line about the generals and admirals supporting him was pretty good, and I think he deflected the brash complaint back on her.

And hes is doing so legally. There is a difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion. One is legal the other isn't. He defended well. Its the regulations and politicians that are the problem. He has been continuously audited and he isn't doing anything illegal. Its his obligation to minimize his tax burden. If the law allows him to pay $0 in taxes then shame on the law, he made a point that he would make radical changes to the tax code, which clearly are needed.
