I mean, his response to paying no income tax was "that makes me smart"? What the fuck kind of response is that. He got flustered, and half of his comments were him almost talking over himself and rambling. The whole ending monologue he gave was just a complete rambling trainwreck.
He did good in the first 15 minutes, but man after that he just fell apart.
Yes, because Lester Holt did not asked the main questions that the public wanted to here about hillary. But those networks are hillary's networks, except for Fox news.

Lester was legitimately obviously biased against trump. He asked trump waaaaay more specific questions than clinton. I think the number was something like 15 to 2. It wasn't even subtle.

But the point is that his performance isn't going to change the minds of his base one bit. He's as much a threat to win the presidency as he ever was, debate or no.

Yeah, there are LOTS of people who have had bad debate performances and gone on to win. Nevertheless, it is still something that all campaigns hope to avoid.

...and almost every poll out there--including the ones on liberal sites like slate--have the people saying Trump won. THE PEOPLE.
Political analysts are asses. I say listen to the people not political analysts.
It's kind of like in a pro football game where the team getting cream taunts the other team, and the other team just points to the scoreboard.
Scoreboard. Trump won.
One other thing--if Trump can go in cold, and Hillary spends weeks prepping and still loses, I'd say the handwriting is on the wall.

this. so painful to watch.
getting in the weeds about rosie; essentially saying 'everybody discriminated back then, so what'; lies about his previously clearly stated opinions and policy stances, however weakly fleshed out they were and are; the constant sniffling as if he had a coke drain going; the constant water drinking that he hammered little marco over; ranting about not supporting the Libya invasion when he clearly did; whining over and over about someone in the media 'just call hannity!!1! he'll back me up; i was never for the war!1!! seriously, call hannity!' was the major fucking lolz. he was totally unprepared, sometimes unhinged, and mostly lost in the weeds of his stream of consciousness bullshit act that has so many people ready to smoke his micropeen. he gave up soooo many opportunities to hammer her when she gave openings but he's a showman and when he's bombing he goes off the rails...last night being a perfect example.
he bombed, terribly, and watching the spin is fucking hilarious. savvy? holyfuckinglolz.
hillary started most if not all of her answers like such a robot as is typical of her. she only showed passion a few times because she calculates every. single. word. that comes out of her mouth. it's mostly boring, often droning, and almost always uninspiring...but at least it wasn't lie after lie after lie like her counterpart. she drank no water, coughed not once, stammered only once that i saw, wasn't leaning on the podium unnecessarily, and looked like she could've gone another 1.5 hours while playing out the rope to donald so he could hang himself that much more. she completely crushed him under her boot for the last 65-ish minutes (while his coke buzz waned?). it wasn't even close after the first 25 mins to people that know just how often and egregiously he lied.
but the calculation about what one is saying is something that makes a good president; thinking before you fucking speak and knowing the ins and outs of the issues is critical and clearly donald doesn't get it. he never has and he never will because he's essentially just a hard working dummy that got loans of $14,000,000 from daddy and worked both the bankruptcy and tax courts/systems to maximize his profit all the while stepping on over 2,000 'little guys' (companies) by stiffing them on payment. as a small business owner, his shady record of stiffing payment is a nonstarter (along with all of his other weaknesses).
way to be the peoples' champion, donnie. good luck on the next iteration of the apprentice.

If you honestly believe that that was a good performance, you're in trouble. If he has two more performances like that, he's going to lose this election.

nobody really cares about changing the minds of his base and hillary certainly doesn't need any of them to win. the R base and the D base are as set in stone as they've ever been in the last 25+ years. it's the true independents that matter--of which there are relatively few--at this point of a presidential race.
and speaking of the presidential race...the horserace is built in, just in case anyone doesn't actually realize that. neither hillary nor donald were ever going to be up by 20 points this late in the race. it's in the interest of nobody in politics to be up that large at this point; it would only serve to shut off their money tap.

On more than one occasion it looked as if she was getting fed what to say through an earpiece. Not surprising at all, but I think people tune out when someone drones on like a robot.
She looked confused and out of it with her fake smiling at inappropriate times. As if she doesn't know what situation a normal person smiles. At 12:52 she's either confused as hell(as usual) or listening to someone on an earpiece.
HILLARY CLINTON vs DONALD TRUMP
She did had an ear piece with a tutor on the other end feeding her iformation how to calm her down, by having her to repeat it in her mind that she is in her happy place, over and over..

Gotta be honest, as a fan of politics, that would lead to cool as fuck debates if both of the candidates were allowed ear pieces. Can you even imagine? It would be intense. I would break out the popcorn and record that shit. They would have teams of people behind them telling them what to say, checking the internet, coming up with stuff on the fly, it would be insane. The exchanges would be unbelievable. Like two computers arguing with each other.

Some are mad because he didn't strike when she gave him multiple opportunities to hit her hard. I think he was testing the water at this first debate to get some feedback before going full steam. His supporters wont budge at all, but the last thing he wants to do is cheese off the undecided voters by being overly aggressive. We still have an October surprise to look forward to, and the Monday before the next debate looks like a perfect landing spot for the next Wikileaks release.
Now they're claiming Trump isn't going to show up to the next debate. It's like story time with the media and Hillary. It's some straight up sir Edmund Hillary sniper fire level BS.

Well, I am thinking about being a contestant on this show. And bring along a friend of mines with his Iphone, sending me information through the ear piece from the audience like Mark Cuban was doing for hillary.

As suspected. And all the interruptions.
Lester Holt Debates Donald Trump
You'd think a moderator would ask about things like Hillary's server instead of the birther movement that she started.
