Closet running at 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

So my closet that houses my monos is running at about 85 degrees fahrenhite day and night. Can't get the temp down unless I put in AC. Does this mean all my substrate is constantly at about 95 degrees F? Has anyone had successful grows at this high of temp? What are the effects I should be seeing? The tubs "seem" to be doing great. Thanks in advance.

85 is typically higher than mist people like. However, it is well within the temp spectrum that this species grows naturally.
Higher temps in general will promote the growth of contamination if any is present. But otherwise will likely produce faster growing and less dense fruit bodies.
I'd bet that closet is on a south facing wall. Maybe try and shade the wall if that's the case, or open the door when you're around and get some air flow to help cool it down.

Question one what is the temp in the rest of you house you live it? Two youll see a higher rate of bacteria growth and more mebtolies. The fruit will be very short sterm and big caps . harder to pick and yeild suffers

You should see slower than average colonization, faster than average fruiting, probably twice the contamination rate you would encounter at 68-72F, and hollow thin shrooms.

Intriguing comment. If the fungi has completely colonized and consolidated a jar... and it's warmer than usual... will that promote pins to grow without any chance of contamination?

Often times contamination does promote pins to grow as its a last ditch survival effort. Bacteria is encouraged by high temperature. Our sterilization process is a log function. Say you start with 1,000,000 contaminants in your jar before it's sterilized. And say our sterilization process does 10 logs of reduction. That means you go from 1,000,000 To 100,000 10,000 1000 100 10 1 .1 .01 .001
Well there's no such thing as .001 contaminants its stated as a reasonable assumption that nothing survived but out of 1000 jars you should expect one to contaminate from a survivor of sterilization.
Warm temperatures encourage bacteria sterilization didn't kill. Which sounds dumb but we would have to sterilize for a lot more than 2 hours at 15psi to rid most grains of all endospores to a very low probability level. We sterilize for a window of colonization time, to give mycelium ample time to colonize before any possible missed endospores get an opportunity

Now that I read that again to actually address the question, usually if it colonized with no issues fruiting will be fine, though you may not get away with as many flushes

Interesting. I ask, not because I want to purposely raise the temps or anything like that, but because coincidentally I have jars that aren't pinning and it is significantly hot (over 100F) today and tomorrow and our A/C can barely maintain 80F in that room in those conditions so it will be in the 80's. But only for a couple days.

If that's the best you can do with temps, it is what it is. I know the feeling though, from living in florida and now living in texas.

Hand clapping emoji thing. Very well put sir. That makes perfect sense. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. Would of had to read a whole book to understand that. Quick question, not sure how to link the thread I just posted, should've asked you. So yeh my trays definitively looking bacterial (from what I know) but the tubs still looking good. Took the sgfc with trays out of the closet, is there any chance in saving them?

Those stand alone air conditioners are expensive but work great. My buddy uses one his is MMJ grow room, think it set him back 300.
