Hi apostle. I read the stories you wrote, I liked. Sorry about your friend. Lost a few myself. It hurts.

it's not even like a very good song.
to put it in context he used to sing it all fucked up(opiates) while whining about his ex-gf and it became a running joke in my group because he was so fucking bad at singing and we always tried to make him shut up but he kept on.
the thing is you could hear the sadness in his voice even though he was doing it "in jest".and obviously the lyrics are about loss so it fit and now when i hear it i imagine him singing it all fucked up except now i don't bust out laughing at it, it just eats me up inside.
i also related because i know what its like to lose a lover because you are too much of a fuck up and can't beat your addiction. i understood his pain even if i did abhor his singing about it.
this song.

THanks man, its my first friend i've lost so i guess i just have to learn to cope.its actually been a couple years. i never really think about it much so in a way i actually enjoy putting on that song every now and then to remember him. i also got a shitty prison tattoo tribute to him so i'll always keep his memory. even with it on my skin though i mostly don't think about it at all so like i said i like to sort of pay emotional tribute now and then.
Miss you G

Music transcends ALL boundaries. Whether you are a field worker in china, trash truck person in NY, or any other part of the world, most if not all people on this planet listen to some form of music. There is a beat that never stops, an electronic or manual drumbeat pulse that NEVER ceases. Music is magical, music is life. I love music as well. Music has helped me through many times of despair.

Amen.
i actually saw a movie called Hanna where the protaganist was a young girl raised in the wild to be an assasin and she had never heard music and really wanted to and when she finally was it was some simple arab song in the backround of an arab show and she was enthralled.
i really love music.
