Shroomery has about 11 sponsers, right? That figures to ~2200usd$ per month solely from banner advertisments... With talk of shroomery having a premium service for members to subscribe to.. I'm curious how the extra money is spent.. (obviously its not even nearly spent entirely on hosting costs.. and the absolute best hardware available could be bought in two months time..) so, what happens to the rest of it? Are there any charaties, or organizations that the excess profits go towards? Are they saved up for a rainy day? I'm just curious about this..

I want to have a conversation about this, please do not flame me.

I don't quite understand your post.. are you being scarcastic? Or is that a serious response? The little  :lol: is throwing me off.. I didn't post this in OTD because I wanted to have a serious conversation about this, and to possibly discuss directions shroomery could take itself.. or organizations it could support. I'd thank you to leave sarcasm out of this thread. :P

Personally, I don't care about that much...

The Shroomery is a great forum and a good place to hang out. It costs me nothing and the advertisers are exposed to the appropriate market for their services...

Even if someone was getting a few dollars , they thouroughly deserve it for coming up with a win/win scenario like that.
