I'd be willing to bet your mushrooms are 20%+ more active as mine are... I've got a really weak culture I've been fruiting...
I'm hoping to change that with some new clones I have ready...

Outdoor fruits usually don't come close to indoors for sure.
I wonder if even good cultures still don't pack the punch grown outdoors? That would have interesting implications if some of the hard to grow wood lovers got figured out indoors.

man some fantastic photos in here! What monsters people are growing! The biggest I ever saw was a golden teacher on a large slab of horse poo in the bottom of a 40L bin. Seems the bigger the cake the bigger the fruit as this one cap was big enough to split between 3 people.
Back after a long holiday from fungi but very keen to catchup on all the new methods!
Mods any way to get an OLD profile (2007ish i think) back as gutted to have lost all my old info and contacts

Interesting to think about...unique variables at play.
In regards to simply taking a substrate outside -there couldn't be too much of a difference there. As far as taking two cuts of the same culture-going outdoor with one and indoor with the other....
I would like to hope they would be just as potent compared to one another.

Sometimes if I have extra spawn or a jar that's questionable, I'll spawn it in a shoebox tote, throw a casing layer on it and stick it in my plant greenhouse and keep the casing layer moist, got 3 PE shoeboxes going right now, here's an older AA+
