good ol' contam or piss question

Hey fellow shroomers!
Simple question. I left my jars for too long (I was on vacation for 3 weeks). And so now there are yellow spots in the jars. (and slight indications of fruiting in the jar.)
My question is; (since I have no experience with contams,) is it mycelium piss or an actual contamination?

And if so? why throw the jar away? cant I just clean it well and reuse it?
,peace

Metabolites because of bacteria. So essentially it's a contamination, but a dinky contam at that. You have a few options to get nice fruits out of this. The option with the highest chance of fruits is to case the jar and top fruit it.

Nah, it's like 100x better than getting nothing.
You can also risk it and spawn them, yes I've had a few bacterial jars produce results. Just a much lower yield. The issue with spawning bacterial jars is that the myc is weakened, and trich loves to germinate on weakened bacterial mycelium. But that doesn't mean every bacterial jar will have trich, just a much higher chance of trich.

Also when people say toss the jar, they mean the substrate. No need to be tossing the glass. Just wash it out with water and soap. The next PC cycle will kill any spores left in them

Mycelium doesn't piss. Metabolites are created to digest the substrate and fight off contamination.

That you had bacterial spawn, and that it fruited, and that i loved that.

No problem at all .)
What it means is your jars are contaminated with bacteria, which is a situation that is not ideal and weakens the mycelium. But bacteria alone is not as bad as having mold. You can still get some fruits but since mycelium on the substrate is weakened, it is more prone to growth of mold. What that means is there is a high possibility of getting less flushes than you could with bacteria-free spawn.
So, no need to toss fully colonized, bacterial spawn. .) and you can safely eat its fruits.
