beginner cultivation questions

First question:
When preparing rye grain jars for spawning by mixing correct amount of water and PCing. I add the recommended amount of gypsum and chalk (about 3% of grains weight in gypsum and 25% of gypsums weight in chalk) and it never fully dissolves. I get left with a lump of white salts at the bottom of the jar. Any suggestions to resolve that issue? I've tried both mixing salts with grain and dissolving in water and both still leave undissolved deposits at the bottom of the jars.
Second question:
How could cellulose filter discs be used in conjuction with PF tek or grain jar spore solution inoculation? Would making injection holes in the filter discs render them useless or could tape or something be used on them? What about opening the lids on the jars to allow syringe access?
Third question:
That last question reminded me that when you remove grain jar lids for agar to grain inoculation the part underneath the filter discs sticks to the jar and needs to be removed separately by hand. Is there anyway to avoid that or is that just an inherent flaw with the filter disc / ball mason lid combo?
Fourth question:
How do you get bulk straw substrate into filter patch bags without soiling the top inner sides of the bag? Because it can be an infection risk and is hard to clean so not ideal.
Fifth question:
Are filter bags clean enough to put pasteurised bulk substrate directly in them or do they have to be autoclaved after they are filled with substrate?

1; chalk isnt needed, normally we use ratios by volume, not weight. you probably use way too much, just a pinch of gypsum is enough pr qt jar.
2. you use the discs as GE filter, and you need a separate SHIP to inject through or even better just crack the lid open in your SAB and inoculate straight into the jar.
3. what part under the filter discs? discs cover a hole in the jar and is your barrier between the open air and your grain jar.
4 everything inside the bags gets sterilized/pasteurized, this shouldn't be a problem.
5 I think you're a bit confused, if you want to use the bags for fruiting you dont need to clean them, pasteurized sub and colonized grains can fend off contams, that's why we can spawn in open air.
otherwise you can fill the bags with bulk sub and then pasteurize the bags, or fill with grains and then sterilize them.
Bags in SABs are tricky IMO, much easier to work with jars unless you have a FH.

Look around here and find some grain prep teks, best to prep/hydrate the grains prior to filling the jars before PCing. Make you some jar lids like this
Though I have lids with ships I never use them, like space said I just crack the lid in the SAB and I don't do spores to grain anyway.
