Pacific Nw ID help?
    #23673049 - 09/24/16 05:35 AM (7 years, 4 months ago)

I found these growing in  a community garden pretty sure they are pan subs in Oregon . They were in mulch and wood chips.

They look close to subs the substrate, stipe. Cap Gills and mycelium show they are psyathyrella.  Subs have mottled gills, whitish edges to the gill, striated stipe, I think subs tend to have tiny dimples on the cap and a slight shimmery silver look as well.

Hey, first off thanks so much for your help. I had thrown a bunch of those out several times. Are these the stirations of which you speak. And hopefully I got this a little better this time, those things tricked me!! I have three batches here designated by different back grounds [/[url=http://files.shroomery.org/files/16-39/540352053-image.jpg]

You are going to find out that Panaeolus Foenisecii are going to be 9 times out of 10 what you will find. They practically look identical to cinctulus (what used to be called subs). Where I make the distinction is in the gills and in the spore print.

Sharpie test:

Gill check (depends on age as well). Second from the right is a Pan cinct....the others are foes:

Second set looks like it could be good. First set...definitely not. Third set I don't know. Refer back to my last comment though.
