So wrong, your fc is terrible
Cakes sit on foil or lid
Fc needs 1/4" holes on all 6 faces of the fc in a 2" x 2" grid formation
Perlite 4-5" deep
The sides of the fc shouldn't be piss wet through
Whatever it is it needs to go in the trash or burried.
And welcome to the shroomery look around read SGFC tek

Your cake wasn't fully colonized. Looks like a mixture of mold and bacteria

Hahah! Yeah it's the worst cake that came from that batch. I actually have an air pump on 24hrs plus I vent the FC a few times a day. The others are already fruiting, this one just took too long colonizing. Thanks for the replies.

Having air pump on 24 hours for pf cakes is just not necessary.  Why work an air pump if holes do the same job for no cost at all? .)

What is that stuff at the bottom of your FC?

I think they're using a pmp set up, if your not very experienced with them and don't really know the proper way to use them they don't work very well. However in the right hands I'm told they are good, but I don't know enough about them to judge either way. The balls are clay geolite or something

I love that it germinated on the heavily bacterial bottom. This is why you always rinse the uncolonized areas of bacteria off before dunk and roll. Which it looks like he didn't even roll..
