What's in my woods
    #23672460 - 09/23/16 10:17 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

So I've been outdoors and in the woods a bunch, and I've never heard this noise and it trips me out.  I was in my woods, and I heard a noise that sounded like horses crossed with birds or something.  There was a bunch of them going off, like a call, from a pack of animals.  It was a bunch of whistley/squeaky/laughs that you could definitely tell was not made by a bird, it sounded like land animals.  Shit honestly sounded creepy af.  I looked up hyena laugh on youtube, and it had kind of the same pattern, like a bunch of hyenas laughing, but sounded nothing like it.  It was much more whistle like.

Any ideas what this could be?  I'm probably going to get a bunch of funny bs answers in the pub, but maybe someone can chime in and give me a straight answer.

Bigfoot, or maybe Lizard People is my guess.

That's a possibility.  I've listened to alot of sounds online, and none sound like it.  Turkeys, ostriches, etc.  I listened to multiple coyote ones, and most noises didn't sound like it, but some did.  There were no drawn out howls, it was almost like a pack of coyotes barking.  I heard some "bark" like noises from coyotes on youtube, and they sounded high pitched and whistly, alot like the noises I was hearing.

I also realize I'm pretty damn stupid for even looking up hyena noises, because I'm in the mountains of eastern USA and hyenas don't live in the USA.

And lol at the bird horse celetial traveler lol.

Most likely coyotes. When they're running around in packs they all "bark" alot, but their barks are more like high pitched yips.
