back yard find

Hi Folks,

I grew a few batches of cubensis shrooms last winter.  Enjoyed the hobby very much.

This evening I was walking in the yard and spotted several groups of mushrooms that look very much like the Golden Teacher strain I cultivated. Dare I eat them?  Central PA BTW.

You can eat them if you cook them but they are Lacrymaria lacrymabunda not cubes

Thanks Doc!  I googled the strain Lacrymaria lacrymabunda. Very interesting. I think I'll stick to cultivating shrooms using spore syringes from expert sources.

cheers

You could do a little research and make your hunts more productive. You're not going to find cubensis in PA.

I figured he buried his spent substrate in the yard and thought he was finding (somewhat) lookalikes for that reason
