please stop melting. i hate that you're having a bad day but that's no reason to take it out on me. look through my post history; it's self explanatory and maybe you're confusing me with someone else.
I posted in the OP's original thread about this species that was never resolved to the OP's satisfaction. i didn't agree with Blazeyy to show you up, dude/ette. i have no idea how you got that impression and never thought twice about, nor meant to specifically pile and contradict, your posts or your thoughts ITT. haysoos.
and i DONT just go into threads to repeat old information. never. i sometimes--less than 17 hours after the last post in this case--concur with what someone else (who is not a TI) has said and offer additional information or another take on a matter that doesn't seem to be fully resolved...in this case that another mushroom i happen to know just a tiny bit about also produces crystallized salt because it grows near a salt water environment.
wow.

MollyLucyMaryJane said: Why ressurect old thread just to say that lol...
because it's not an old thread, i had posted in the OP's original thread, my post was constructive, and it offered a different opinion for the OP to pursue...you know, since the OP actually has the specimens.

was anyone here advocating eating them? maybe i missed that/those post(s). it is very obvious that the OP certainly has scientific curiosity--which was also my reason for proposing an alternate theory--so the OP can now investigate a different theory about these "white crystals".

perhaps consider that i don't post here just for your benefit/reading and i certainly don't post here with the thought of you not knowing how to read.
imo you blew this way, way out of proportion. i was just thinking earlier today to rate you since i've noticed that you've been helpful to other posters (ETA: on second thought, check your ratings if you see this i see you've opted out; was going to rate you 5 regardless of this exhange. oh well. no i know you really don't care>>>). i know you probably don't care, but damn.

Didnt mean to take shit out on you bro. I appreciate constructive criticism and being wrong is how I learn from my mistakes but when almost every single post, even ones I try very hard to be polite and helpful on, are picked apart by other members it gets old. Feel like im wasting my time here.
Since joining the shroomery, trying to learn mushrooms and help others ID them has been more of a contest than a learning experience. Which is why I opted out of the rating system. People let it go to their heads.
I am only here to learn mushrooms and help others ID them, sorry for finally letting the "competition" mindset of this forum get to my head and unnecessarily taking it out on you.
From now on I am going to stop using this website for everything except occasional trading and focus my research on mushrooms to independent study.
