No, most of those are Blue Myrtles, with maybe a Pilosocereus in there, all cacti pictured are not what you want though.

The myrtles are good grafting stock though, so that's a small win.

I'm glad I asked. I didn't get them..someone on Craigslist was selling them claiming they were Peruvian torches. Disappointing tho :frown:

I purchased 2 young San Pedro from a nursery though, they're about a foot tall each and 2 inches wide. I've read online that young ones have very little mescaline content tho right? I'll just have to let em grow I guess.

"Torch" is no strain of cactus or whatsoever. It's more a description and must not to be mistaken for identification purposes as it's no scientific term.

"Torch" is a synonym for columnar cacti with long spines that appear "burning like a torch" when beeing backlit by low sun at dusk.


"Echinopsis peruviana" is the actual name of the plant you are looking for.
