I know people post on this subject all the time but im stuck for three months now all my tubs have molded before the first flush i have taken every percaution i can think of i even had an air filteration system installed in my duct work so that all the air in my house passes through UV light killing bacteria and mold. It seems the mold originates within the casing layer i have tried switching from pasturizing my casing to sterlizing my casing, nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this much problems with mold and what was done about it??? Please help

Use a tiny bit less water when you mix it up. Then after it cools spray straight h202 into your casing material before you apply it. Mycelium can grow in about a 1:20 ratio (of the 3% solution) but this should kill any mold spores. Spray it, mix it around, and repeat until you have sprayed 1 oz for every 20 oz of casing material.

Also, make sure when you cover the casings for incubating that they have a couple small holes for air exchange.
