Any that aren't full of electronic music
-------------------- Don't worry about me, I've got all that I need. And I'm singing my song to the sky You know how it feels, With the breeze of the sun in your eyes. Not minding that time's passing by I've got all and more, My smile, just as before. Is all that I carry with me I talk to myself, I need nobody else. I'm lost and I'm mine, yes I'm free

If you like smaller more intimate festivals, Lunar Festival in Tanworth in Arden, UK is amazing, as is Chagstock in Devon.
I'd like to try Green Man or Boom Town next year maybe, Dekmantel in NL looks amazing too.

Smaller more intimate fests are the best IMO, they are less expensive and flashy but I prefer them becouse of that.

Ultimately though the most important thing is good music and good people. The rest is tertiary.

Best festival in the world is in my head
And it's like the most difficult place to get in so don't even try, cuz the tickets are so scadered and they pretty much don't even exist.

Ya I've watched many musicians over the years. But Phish and grateful dead are the worst. I bought a grateful dead album in my infancy here and after a play through I threw in a tool album.
Live I'm sure that it'd be a great show and I'd have a good time. Watched many jam bands. I always found at festivals the best acts aren't on stage. The people playing randomly. I always follow the music. One time I was wandering around and heard something. I watched this girl play the accordion of all things and sing this beautiful song. Wow thank you.

You can't judge the dead from a studio album I agree they are over rated but they can certainly play some great music live at times.

Go see Darkstar Orchestra if you get the chance, they do a great job covering actual Dead sets. I have seen em a few times and they always throw down.

I listen to prog rock daily and it just gets better and better so much music is painfully boring now in comparison

As connoisseur of music of sorts, I've found that most music is good, or can be good, it's all about timing, current mood, etc..

The best fest is the Jerry Garcia Hologram Fest of Endless Hardly Even Meandering Jams.
The vibes in the lot alone are better than any other fest, brah.
I became a man on that lot.

NearFEST was a north American prog fest that was held at a college for a few years I believe. Was reading up on it somewhat recently.
Currently I don't know if there are any, at least in America. Maybe somewhere overseas there is something... I hope so at least.
I guess Prog Day is a fest in North Carolina that happened at the start of this month Hopefully there's another next year.
