My first flush, from my first grow, on BRF cake with homemade brown rice flour. 120 grams wet, 8 grams dry. Thanks to all the mates that shared their knowledge with me; Mushierage, Gdivski, and Mrmazdarx9. I really appreciate it fellas. I've had four more cakes flush since, I will post pics of those in a bit. Getting my dunk & roll on prepping for flush no. 2!

I inoculated the cake on the 19th of August and had fruit by the 19th of September. First flush, second cake.

This cake didn't produce a large amount of pins, but did produce this unique fellow.

Wow, nice work. Much better than my current first flush, which only has one or two pins per cake.
Did you use SGFC? How much mist/fanning?

Yes, I started out using an SGFC but since I kept mine in my linen closet (which limited air flow through the perlite). I ended up hooking a humidifier up to the chamber to help raise the humidity after I misted and fanned it each time. But once I reached the correct humidity I disconnected it. I missed and fanned every six hours. In the beginning I only had a few pins per cake so to help initiate pinning I missed the cakes for 10 seconds about 18 inches above the tub and left the tub out for 5 hours without the lid on it. I did this for two days. Allowing the cakes to get a good evaporation which helps to initiate the pinning. I then misted as normal and put the lid back on it and placed it back in the closet. Starting that night I changed my lighting schedule from 12/12 to 18 hours of light 6 hours dark. I have kept the lighting schedule like that ever since. within in the next few days the pinning exploded. When I fanned I fanned for 2 minutes constant to help start Evaporation. I had so many pins and once they started maturing they would literally suck the cake of all moisture and start bruising so I used an 18 ga. Needle to inject water every 6-12 hours depending on how dry they were. I would just judge by picking up the cake and feeling it. Once I injected it in several different locations until the water was dripping out the sides, top and bottom. I would hold it up, and let the excess water drip out, then replace it on the foil back in the chamber. Then I would fan for two minutes, put the lid on it, and place back in the closet. I would hook the humidifier up, bring the humidity back up to 80-85% then disconnect. The growth rate was amazing, as well as how much the cakes drank the water. As far as the humidifier set up, I bought a fish tank vacuum hose set up and attached it to the humidifier. Then I jumped the first hose from the humidifier to a clean milk jug, and then to another milk jug, and then to a third milk jug and then to the chamber. This helps take most the moisture out of the air being pumped Into the fruiting chamber but still bring the humidity up. You'll know by the amount of smoke vapor coming out of the tube. If your SGFC is being used in an open room where air flow is unrestricted they say the humidity will be correct automatically without the use of a humidifier. I keep my temp. between 72-76 degrees, and tried to keep my humidity between 90-100% during pinning, 80-90% during fruiting. I also I do believe that each person will have a different set of circumstances due to different climate, SGFC placement, etc... You will just have to play with it a little and ask these knowledgable mates around here if you have any questions or concerns. Almost everyone I had contact with where awesome, but there are a few douches you have to look over. Hope this helps mate, good luck.
