Anyone whos made or makes cracked corn spawn knows it sticks together like brick once colonised. That's if its perfectly clean. What im thinking if you make a clean culture into LI and make enough for 100 wide mouth pint jars filled with cracked corn. Giving two weeks to colonize and bond. You could just slide the corn out ,then drunk in water a few hours. Roll in a mixture of 80% verm and 20 coir. Fruit like cakes or big mono chamber's

because grain spawned to bulk beats cased grains any day of the week. your cakes would dry out way to fast for you to keep up misting, you'd need a rez effect of some sorts.

But maybe better results for cost of the grow. One bag of verm and one brick of coir for 100 pint corn cakes. Thats like 10 dollors here. 50 qts of cracked corn spawn or 50lb bag is 6 bucks. Agar including plate cost 50 cents. Your talking 16.50 plus labor to pull it off. If you did regular spawning your talking about 10 tubes with 10 bricks of coir and 3 bags of verm costing 40 bucks.

manure is free and you'll get so much more return from spawning than casing grains.

I'm really glad I saw this. I was at my moms house feeding her chicken and the thought crossed my mind to steal her cracked corn feed instead of buying WBS

yup, manure from herbivores are what you want. you can use chx poo as an additive too, keep it around 5% by volume.
cracked corn can be really sticky tho, some people get it to work just fine while others, like me, have a hard time getting it as nice as other cereal grains.
oat, wheat, rye are real simple and pretty damn cheap if youbuy it in bulk.
