Mycelium growth in two hours

Hey everyone! Been trying cakes a few times around and am really trying to get them to work perfect. I inoculated jars today and two hours after I did, one of the jars has mycelium growth the size of a quarter. Has this ever happened to anyone else, and or is it okay for that to happen?

That does not look healthy... are you kidding? And it definitely didn't happen in two hours. And if it did, there is a 0% chance that it's cubensis. Maybe you blacked out for 7 days and 2 hours and just think it's the same day..

Mycelium just doesn't grow in 2 hours time. If that grew in 2 hours I'd huck it.

it is the only jar out of 11 doing it. It's only that one spot. But it looks white. Not grayish or anything else. You guys sure this couldn't be some freak thing where that one spot just took quickly? You're sure I should get rid of it now?

Not worth keeping because that is not mycelium.
I like that you told him to just prove us wrong but he will end up disappointed.

Ps. If for some reason your right and its blind luck with the speed. Make sure to agar iso that. I hate for the fast spore gernation genes to be lost forever. Its the same wtf genes that allowed cubes to show up in a dry mountain in south africa.

I don't know of anything, save cobweb, that can grow that fast. And not even cobweb would show that quick. Maybe there was a lapse of time between sterilization and inoculation?
