['Solvedish'] Cortinarius or Inocybe?
    #23669384 - 09/22/16 08:38 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Edited: So I am pretty sure this is cortinarius, in which case it's poisonous and a no-no.  The distinct pointy top and orange gills seem to make me think it is one of these cortinarius species

Southeastern Massachusetts

I picked so many mushrooms today I can't tell you where I picked these  (outside of coniferous surrounded area, near river), but it was suggested on a facebook group it could be either of those in the title:

Cortinarius or Inocybe or...?

Possibly Cortinarius rubellus? orellanus? (<-- funniest name ever?)

Doubting Inocybe because from photos they tend to be much more pale/ whitish.

Read something that suggests eating Cortinarius will cause renal failure
