    #23669173 - 09/22/16 07:33 PM (7 years, 4 months ago)

Less than a mile from river in conifer forest, coastal Massachusetts.  Was growing among leaves and dead wood in the ground, yellow wood, which was so old and rotten it was shattered and spewed around.

Gills:
White gills, attached.  Some are getting a little rusty along their edges

Stem:
Some solid, some hollow, reddish on the inside of some, whitish in others.  Annalus from veil present.  Brown at bottom, most mature have bluish tinge.

Cap:
Mature about 2 inches, folding up on mature, but spherical / dome on smaller.  Yellow. Texture rubbery but not slimy.  Top is brown and fades to yellow.  Dimpled a bit like pock marks

Spore print color:
waiting on it

Bruising:
Brownish bruise, but bluish tinge to mature flesh

Other information:
No scent

Thanks!  I am glad they are able to be eaten.  Also very interesting, according to wiki the mycilleum can be bioluminescent
