Stamets speaks of this fungus as a specific against ants and varroa mites that plague honeybees, among other critters.  If he does not say so in the segment I've highlighted, elsewhere he states it does not harm honeybees.

Sorry, no matter what I've tried I can't get the start time embedded in the youtube url.

He holds patents in both usa and austrailia, can't bring the product to market due to 10mil price tag in usa, has given this to austrailia and sez it's now up to us.  ;-)

My question - is there someone here willing to look at the patents and judge the feasibility of that?

I know this should probably go in cultivation but there's so much more traffic here and from this forum I know many of you are skilled, which I am certainly not.

I would love some of this stuff, my house is infested with small black ants and if this really works against varroa it would be a boon, though if stamets can't get it patented...  I see nothing wrong with a bootleg varroa treatment that is nontoxic and works, it's decimating the bees.  I keep bees (or try to) and I'd love to try some trials.

Comments?  Watch the 9 min of vid before you eviscerate me, please.
