ISIS... Why aren't we doing more about it?

And by we, I mean USA. You got all that military and yet it seems as if Obama is reluctant.
Before you ask "Well, Why doesn't Canada do something about it?"... You obviously know that we couldn't invade anything... So yeah, I said it.
The US has 10 big ass Nimitz class aircraft carriers. They carry 60 F18s each. Where are they?
- 4 are in Norfolk Virginia, protecting DC. - 2 are in San Diego - 1 is in Seattle - 1 is in the middle of the Pacific - 1 is on the East coast of Japan - 1 is South of Afghanistan
1 out of 10 carriers is near the enemy right now. I get Japan because of North Korea. Why are there 7 parked at home doing nothing?
It seems to me that aircraft carriers are perfect for the ISIS mission. No boots on the ground. Jets can go bomb and come back from close range and they fly on top of water, which is much safer. There's no ground troops that can get to you and anything they could throw at you will appear on the radar and be blown up by the overwhelmingly superior force that an aircraft carrier has over every other military weapon on earth short of a nuke (which it would intercept from far away). It's safer than any ground base anywhere on earth. It's like a private island.
So what's the problem? You still pay the sailors that work on it 24/7 so why not just invest the gas money and put them to use? They could be a safe landing spot for anybody that wants to send jets.
Fun fact. The biggest air force in the world is the USAF. The second biggest airforce in the world is owned by the US Navy.

Russia and other situations. There will never be an end to the war on terror. Attempting to end it is not only impossible but also counter effective to the current modern cold war and relative proxy wars we conduct around that theater.

The US has dropped close to 40,000 bombs on ISIS targets. I'm not exactly sure why you think that isn't enough.

Because we're using daesh to destabilize Syria, when Russia intervened they were able to quickly push daesh back with far less manpower. The US is pulling it's punches, while enabling Turkey and probably Saudi Arabia to invest in daesh.
Its a dangerous game, I don't personally approve of.

You know ISIS is basically just Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Only more fanatical because of the last War on Terror that failed miserably and killed hundreds of thousands of civilians in the middle east.
What do you want to do Patlal? What would you do to fight against people who hide with civilians, ARE civilians, without killing masses of innocent people?

We created isis and are supporting them. They're our puppets in this proxy war in an attempt to replace Assad with a spook president we provide. Control of key oil pipelines is what fuels the chaos in the middle east. Turn it into rubble and take it over one country at a time.

ISIS is pure gold for media and propaganda purposes. Its good to keep a boogey man around, to justify unlimited military spending and surveillance etc.

The only way to truly beat the enemy is go in and kill all the men in the cities. But then you have all the muslims everywhere else in the world. Better to just leave it all alone. Not like they could ever invade the US anyway.

We're doing way more than most people realize. Primarily drone strikes on cash storage. We've actually been pretty successful in crippling them financially. They halved their salary.

Whats funny about that is America never targeted their cash storage or their supply lines until Russia made very public accusations of their collusion. Then suddenly they rolled out the a-10's and ac-130's en masse, and hurriedly mopped up their tankers and support vehicles. Finally nailing ISIS's Aorta after 2 fucking years.
