Kratom definitely loses potency with time but also will still have some good effects months and years later, just reduced.

7-Hydroxymitragynine is a terpenoid indole alkaloid from the plant Mitragyna speciosa, commonly known as Kratom. In mice, it is orally active and has analgesic effects.

7-Hydroxymitragynine is a partial agonist at the μ-opioid receptor with a potency, calculated using pD (2) values, that is 30-fold higher than that of mitragynine and 17-fold higher than that of morphine, respectively. As a G protein biased ligand at this receptor it causes significantly less side effects than morphine, like constipation, development of tolerance and withdrawal syndrome upon abstinence. The O-acetyl ester (Acetoxy), 7-acetoxymitragynine has also been reported and found to be an active μ-opioid agonist.

Well my jars of rifat are super stimulating. Years old but kept in a cool dark place. Last week i went for a further grind as its not processed like most sites and i was breathing in dust. A couple of minutes later i started getting really anxious and had the 'drip' that is common with most inhaled drugs. Vwry very weird. Like strong coffee but more.

Ironic you would be condescending about something incorrect. Mitragynine's stability isn't known yet, because it's largely unstudied (hence "is highly unlikely"). However, there is more evidence that it is relatively unstable (than the opposite); Many terpenoids are highly volatile as well, including 7-OH-Mitragynine. Mitragynine and 7-OH are both found in Speciosa and Hirsuta.

I have tried Bentuangie from a few different vendors, only once did it smell and taste significantly different,  as well as felt subjectively milder in psychological effects. You're right that it is supposed to be fermented red vein (and yellows are reds dried differently). Its alkaloids may be even more promising than regular kratom, as it appears to cause less tolerance build-up for whatever reasons (likely the greater delta effects), which means less withdrawal/rebound, while still a very effective analgesic.

That is also a very potent alkaloid that isn't present in large amounts generally.

I have had strains high in 7 hydroxy that still were potent after months too

Condescending? Eat your dinner man. I know what i grow. And if i have kratom i consume, and i get 'high'? Well where is there inaccurate info.

Okay. Its an unstable molecule. And it lessens as time goes on. Not mine man. Id send you some just so you xan eat your words.

Anything an angry stranger gives you is delicious and safe to eat without exception.

How dare you imply otherwise?!

I am furious with you.

Give me your address. I will send you some head cheese to savor.

Has there been an official response from the White House in regards to the >140,000 person petition? My understanding is that anything over 100,000 signatures requires an official response within a period of time. In this case, that response, if it pre-dates the Dec 1st deadline for public comment could be important. That said, my suspicion is that Obama, if he responds at all, will be a huge fence-sitter.

No not yet I think the White House has until 60 days after the end date of the petition to respond. Keep posting comments during public commenting phase!

They don't have to do anything about those petitions if they decide they don't want to. What are they gonna do? Sue the president?

Uh that was through the legit channel of government, I'm sure they will respond 100,000 is a lot of people. It could be a minimal response and quite generic but I'm sure it will be something. That's not important right now the commenting period is. Blocking a temporary emergency schedule ban by the DEA has never been done before as far as I know.

There's nothing that actually requires them too. I'm sure there's been petitions in the past with more that got no notice.
