How to produce high yield, colourful, big and rich fruits

Items needed:
- Two tubs of the same shape, one smaller to fit inside the other.
- Wood rich compost, can have added nutrients.
- A watering can, or container.
Colonize your fungus using your selected method and substrate into the smaller container. Once fully colonized, the colony will need to be removed as a cake or block.
Hydrate and pasteurize the compost, place compost at the bottom of the larger container. The larger container must have drainage holes, a plant pot is sufficient.
Place the cake on top of the base layer, surround and case the cake. Water using a can, or any other method, excess will drain.
Stop watering when excess begins to leak. Keep at 60-80% Rh for larger fruits.
Here is an outdoor example:

Growing tips:
Score or poke holes into your cake or block using a fork, or breakup into quarters. This causes the mycelium to grow out into the casing, improving speed.
Add a top layer of perlite if you have issues with splashing.
Cover your project for 6-8 days after casing. A black bag will be sufficient.

I get about 75% without casing, with constant worry about humidity. About 100-150% with enriched casing, with no worries.
Colonize indoors, fruit indoors or outdoors.

You forget you can fruit from compost direct from spawn. Even more so mixed wood, enriched compost.
Consider the extra yield as bonus.

Here are the same fruits, in direct sunlight, at a low 60% Rh.

Untouched, still growing as normal.

More tips, adjusted:
You can use cheap bark to replace the perlite splash barrier.
For indoors, place a bag around the larger container. Excess water that drains will act as humidity.

Here are those fruits harvested, some slight colour loss.

The bases where solid, stems and caps very soft. Very rich flavor and smell, very yummy.

So I have some outdoor garden beds that are underneath a tree 80% of the day, and can have shade cloth added for more if needed. Why do you keep it a complete cake and not break it up into your bed? Also I feel like trying to pasteurize any outdoor compost or substrate whatever seems irrelevant, as you have the outside world to try to compete with.

That's because it was designed for both indoor and outdoor fruiting. It depends on your needs. Keeping it as a cake will spend less to grow into the casing. But breakup if u want.
Use it as a guide, adjust as needed.

Here is a quick illustration of the water cycle. Lower humidity to increase uptake.
