what are your thoughts?

my cakes take longer to fruit than my casings.

SA strain
6 cakes/ PF tek
8 casing/ "used PF cakes"cased with coir/verm/lime flour

all in same conditions 68F-76F
90-95% humidity

i did not incubate casings, they went right into fruiting chamber,and got pached 3 times. tons of pins on the casings

, before the cakes got any at all!

i mean how? if the casing has to heal and everything, how did they beat the cakes in fruiting time?

environment
aside from other factors, a casing is much better for pin promotion than a cake.
