Habitat:
Found this while at work today, It was growing in Buffalo turf that had been laid on top dress with manure layed underneath it. Shaded in the morning, found a day after a good rain. the town I live in could be described as similar to Melbourne (I live in Toowoomba if you're curious) Happened upon them by complete chance!

Gills:
Gold/grey, deep gills.

Stem:
1 inch, 1.5 inches long, around 5mm in diameter, white/gold in colour, fibrous and almost woody in texture, slightly hollow and thin.

Cap:
around 1 whole cm in diameter, definite golden brown colour, smooth with small white bumps occurring around the edge of the cap, slightly coned, concave,

Spore print color:
Was not able to retrieve spore print (grabbed samples gently and put them in an envelope)
Bruising:

You have two separate mushrooms there.  The smaller yellow brown ones are either Tubaria or Deconica.  Spore printing is usually helpful with identification so you should get in the practice of doing so.

The larger grey ones could be Lyophyllum but it would be helpful if you showed the gill structure and provided some more info on where and how you found them.

You're absolutely right, given the circumstances I didn't have time, I attempted one when I finished work, the print was negligible. I will do next time though, thanks so much for your input. I'll check those out.

If you still have the mushrooms, you could add more photos?  Spore printing should take 12-24 hours to develop a print.  Not to insult, but do you know about spore printing?

I don't man, I don't take offense either. Willing to learn, absolutely. I read around 20 minutes was good enough, but I thought they'd have oxidized. I don't have paper towels however, is there another substitute? Any tips would be great.

regards.

I print on foil or glass.  Snip the cap from the stem and place it gills down on your paper/foil/glass.  Cover with a cup or bowl and leave for 12-24 hours.  Remove the covering and the cap and allow to air dry.  Then evaluate the color.  Is it rusty, red, brown, black, etc - keeping in mind that there are subtle shades of each.  Rusty brown, chocolate brown, grey,  etc.

When taking photos, try to show the mushroom in it's habitat as well as the cap, gills/pores, and stem.  Too many photos is way better than too few.

Natural lighting is best, using a flash generally washes out the details.

Things to observe for yourself.  Are the gills attached to the stem, running down the stem, not touching the stem, thin, broad, forked, etc.  Is the cap dry, sticky, tufted with scales, smooth, bumpy, etc.

Start at the top of your specimen and describe everything you see about it working your way down to the base of the stem.  What trees are in the area, was it on wood, dirt, leaf litter - all very helpful clues for us and for you
