But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go
If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

Im always jealous of seeing your pin sets and overgrown mushroom forests so id like a nice set of my own.

Sorry if I came off as a dick, I just want to see people succeed, to realize the dream.

I'm no great grower yet but I have grown shrooms every time I've tried and also have had a few
nice pinsets now. The odds are stacked against this unless you do what it takes.

Contams will diminish your pinset every time unless you give the shrooms the upper hand (or unless you are unusually, incredibly lucky).

No i understand where youre coming from. Cutting corners is never usually a good thing.

Honestly this grow has shown me how important the spawn ratio is for nice pin sets. In the past I thought i could stretch it further by using less spawn but usually it just pins before its completely colonized and you get less pins. By using more spawn it colonizes faster and more thoroughly and because it colonized properly im getting more than double the pins.

I have 3/9 trays that i used less spawn in and it resulted in worse pin sets. So more trays doesnt always mean more mushies you definitely seem to get more out of a higher spawn ratio.

Learning.

BTW does anyone know about hyphal knots? If i see them would it still be colonizing or trying to fruit? And would i want to introduce to fruiting conditions or would it still colonize if i left it alone?

Fruiting without proper fruiting conditions. I guess i was confused as to whether pins could form while colonizing or if its strictly part of fruiting. So i should just take the foil off then since its probably done colonizing.

I remember FAE is a pinning trigger... been a while. Just trying not to screw myself if i could get a better pin set before taking the foil off.

If you are seeing hyphal knots/pins during your intended colonization run, it could mean that your GE was too high(not enough co2 build-up during colonization), and or there is a contaminant present.  The fruiting cycle has already begun, so take the foil off and put that shit into your FC.  Looking good ATM, but be on the look out for green stuff.  Good luck, I wish you a bountiful harvest!

Perfect thanks

Update:

I moved the ultrasonic above the coolmist and put them both on the same timer. The coolmist really distributes the ultrasonics mist very well you can see a fine cloud blowing upwards.

I have a heat lamp about 3 feet away from the greenhouse keeping it around 74 since its been cool.

Might move the trays around since not all the trays are pinning as well as others.

UPDATE Day 5:

Moved the trays around to change up the airflow and humidity they get. Seems to help.

UPDATE Day 6:

UPDATE Day 7:
