Grain - WBS(soaked for 20min after colonization) 2 gallons
Substrate - Aged Horse Manure pasteurized 4" thick w/ WBS
Casing - PVG w/ crush oyster shells 1/2" applied at spawn
Fruiting conditions from spawn, medium poly top and bottom holes no tape
Spawned Sept02

Sept09 - fully colonized!

Sept16 - 12 days later, we have pins!


Sept18 - Time to pull the poly from the top holes and pour in some water:awesomenod:

Sept19 - Harvest time :awesanta:

Sept20 - 10.25 ounces dry first flush, Woooot! :dawerp:

When you soak your grains do you just fill the jar they're in with cold water and let it sit? Shake first?

break it up and let it soak in whatever it colonized in, bag or jar, no shake..

cleaned up the spores on agar. like many others
i am killing myself for not doing it sooner.

You don't want grain water full of nutrients in the casing layer, substrate layer sure, but not casing layer.
