Suggested ljghting cycle for sowing/growing cacti seedlings?

Hello, hello
So I'm new to sowing cacti seeds. I tried once before and was able to successfully grow one Trich. He's earned his place In the FAM no doubt. I'm going for round two. Yet this time I, of course, want to increase my success rate... Lighting cycle is one thing I'm curious about. A guy on YouTube named Cactusmain (who has really cool videos... He's actually the guy that got me thinking and pumped up for this little hobby...) Suggest a 12/12 cycle. Is this correct or is there a better one to use? I have them in my clone garden amongst many diff species of plants... So I'd like for everyone to play nice if able... The cycle it's on ATM is a 15/9 cycle... Or perhaps closer to 16/8. I don't have the timer in front me and honestly don't pay Much mind to it ... Which I know is prob not the greatest example of green parenting lol. But anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on a good cycle to use? I'm not new to cloning or sowing plant seeds, just sowing cacti seeds and grafting are unfamiliar to me. Thanks in advance
I'm hoping top set up a separate spot for cacti seedlings and grafts in the near future... But for now....

I have my seedlings on a 12/12 cycle for economy reasons, but if you already have other plants on a different cycle go for it. However, some experimentation may be needed for cycles greater than 14/10 - these are light cycles the plants never experiment in the wild and they may somehow inhibit growth. Just guessing here.

Right on, thank you for the replies and thanks ferrel for the kind words :brohug: Quick question though, should I position my seedling containers under or just around the light before they start going? I get the feeling that sounded a little confusing, lol so I'll try again... Okay I just set them up yesterday, likely won't see anything for at least a week or two... So until then, is it necessary to have them positioned directly under a lamp or would stray light be just as good? Bear in mind, that I would like to get as successful of a run as possible this go round... But if it doesn't make a big diff, I do have a "few other mouthes to feed' currently. The space up the there is pretty limited right now... But this certainly is an important project for me... So if it's gotta be right under there, I can make it work
In case y'all were curious... Here's the line up: 2x trichocereus macrcogonos 2x sso2 x sso1 x bridge Helen And lastly.... 2x ... Well this one's a secret but it reminds me of a cape and a taste in a town near the ponderosa. Make sense? Prob not... Things typically sound better in my dungeon of insanity and riddles... But I will say this. I'm very excited to try my hand at it all
Peace, love and light

Should I toss my seedling pots? [Re: the_r3dz]

Okay hey y'all... Kind of a separate topic but I didn't want to start a new thread if I didn't have to...
Okay so about half of my six seedling domes have took off. The ones that made it already have tiny baby spines on the very tips of the plants! now the remaining three domes have nothing... Nada. My tricbocereus macrogonus has a weird reddish/brown colored thing poking up in the corner... But honestly idk w the hell it is. Looks like some weird alien thing honestly. Def doesn't look like a seedling that turned red from too much light. I've got no idea and it might just be nothing but a piece of the growth medium sticking up vertically... Anyway its been a month now, well in four days it'll be a month... So my question is this... When a good cut off period for me to settle on thesenjars as duds? Is a month a good marker to make that call? I don't wanna be hasty but it seems like all that's going and growing is algae in those pots. My space is limited where they're set up and would rather just get some fresh ones started.
Thoughts and suggestions?
Thanks y'all Peace and love
