Sports = Slavery?

Seems that the players are owned, and traded, and people have no problem with it. They run around in tights trying to give each other a concussion. It's a parody of war. I don't think people need an excuse to drink beer and eat nachos, so what gives?

Sort of. There's so much regulations and licensing and permits that I feel like I can't do anything without jumping through hoops. The system is screwed. Culture is whacked to hell. Got actors and basketball players as politicians. It's like a crummy high-school, but it's a nation.

Yeah they only get paid TONS of money and agree to it but that's definitely slavery. I'm not sure you understand slavery

Shit, I'd pick cotton and live in a shack for a couple of years if they gave me millions.
But yeah, sports are a really creepy part of our societies, if you start to look into it too much.

It is, they pay them that much to provide false hopes to other players so that way when their careers don't work out for them they can go right into a private prison. A golden cage is still a cage, yada yada.

I hear that 90% of the income that you spend on cable television goes to sports, even if you don't have the packages. It's gossip as of right this second though

Taxes is all fine and dandy with a good social contract in place, but those that govern us keep whiping their asses with it, so now what?

We just need to ditch the capitalizing on each other, and start capitalizing on other nations. Not robbing them, but instead, actually making decent product they just can't compete with.

Yup. I think at some point in time the standards got so nerfed (because of women voters) that it kind of become inefficient to do anything here because of all the liabilities and pay raises ect ect, so they just outsource everything. People are sue-happy and self entitled without a sense of pride in their work. When a place is no longer up to standards, we shouldn't abandon it, we should demolish it and rebuild to standards. I think maybe some of the tax dollars could go into the reconstruction of hazardous buildings, seeing as how they voted to make it classified as hazardous to begin with. Right? Maybe?

ill agree on the sue happy environment and hazardous work places. the funds have gotten so badly mismanaged and convoluted, it would make perfect sense to hit the reset button and fix it instead of going full bore the other way.
