Maine Fly Agaric ID Request
    #23657988 - 09/19/16 07:12 AM (7 years, 4 months ago)

I've gone out the past three weekends in Maine and haven't found a single specimen of Amanita Muscaria. Have any of those whol live in Maine found any? I'm wondering if the weather is still too warm. Also, does anyone know what conditions typically cause a flush? I've found Muscaria in both summer and fall. It seems completely arbitrary whether they fruit or not.

I'm not sure if this is the correct way to share pictures, but here goes! What do you think? Looks like Amanita Muscaria to me. The color is right, warts, partial veil remnants, concentric rings of shaggyness, and a bulbous base. Found under Northern White Pine on someone's lawn.
