Literally, help me with my shit!

Lately, Ive been doing poo only tubs, after discovering a company that makes store bought poo, that does not require pasteurization. Mycelia/ Spawn grows easily thru it without any mold issues whatsoever.
On the other hand, once in a while, if the poo has bug eggs or larvae, I end up having to fend of bugs growing in my tubs.
Anyway to beat the buggies, besides pasteurizating my shit properly.

I only see heat or chemicals as an option. I do not recommend to use the chemical way...
Maybe you could try pyrethrin. But you should be careful. Pasteurization is the better method. Why do you have problems with pasteurization? You have to hydrate the hpoo. Why dont you use hot water? It should kill those bugs.
once again: I dont recommend to use chemicals. If you grow just for fun and not for consumption you can give insecticides a try.

Mix with a little diatomaceous earth. That'll fix those little fuckers. Just be careful as it really does soak the shit up out of water.
Or just do an oven pasteurization. That'll fix em.

I have had horrible experiences with coir, eco brand to be exact, had like a 95% contam rate. Lost alot of time and spawn everytime I tried coir. Trich always got to them.
So as of late, ive been doing poo only, no pasteurization and my success rate has increased dramatically. 95% sucess rate now, as opposed to 95% failure, like before.
No more mold issues, but recently Ive had bug issues. Am assuming sometimes the poo has eggs and larvae hidden in them.
My mycellium still grows without an issue. But a few days ago, for the first time, a tub stalled, and upon further inspection, it was full of little crawling bugs, so I tossed it.
Why risk your personal health! I rather deal with bugs, as opposed to molds anyday. Molds can fuck up future grows and can also fuck up your personal health aswell.

I would personally start properly pasteurizing your subs. Get some oven bags man.
Makes it really easy.

I wanna try and skip the whole, time consuming pasteurization procedure, as It will take me too much time, because I do bulk.
Once I bring my poo to field capacity, Will using boiling hot water work?
See pics: after using this method for growing hundred of tubs, the mycellium grows without a problem, and I never had mold issues after switching to store bought poo, no pasteurization.
Now I get hit with bugs, specifically gnats. Ive tried fly tape, burning incense, etc. To no avail.
Only thing that has worked out for me, is to take some masking tape and swat the gnats with the masking tape when I see them on my sub, sticking the gnat on the masking tape, then kill them. FYI Masking tape doesnt leave any adhesive residue on the sub.

Boiling hot water will definitely destroy the eggs. Check the right water content afterwards and you should be OK. Its a quick and dirty way of pasteurization.

Not for pasteurizing. You can only do that with coir.
Why not just buy a cheap PC and use it for Pasteurization? 45 mins at 15 Psi should do just fine. You wouldn't even have to use jars. Just load it in the PC with water, mix, and go?
Just make sure to line the bottom of your PC with something so you don't burn the sub. I'd imagine it'd be kinda stinky.
Just trying to think of a quicker option for you than an oven pasteurization.

You could partly sterilize it that way i do bulk myself man i run 4 tubs worth in the oven and it takes about 3 hours max i mean i still need to do that 4 more times but i also dont want 100 jars going to shit you know the only way to kill them would be chemicals or heat

Looks like an interesting alternative. Does diatomaceous earth effect the mycellium in any way?

It'll actually colonize it, when mixed with other subs. But it HAS to be fully hydrated. If not, it'll suck the life out of your mycelium.

Im fairly certin you will need something other than just manure, i think just manure will be too muddy.
You can pasturize in bags 3 at a time in a large pot, you can pasturize twelve tubs worth in an afternoon easily with just a couple big pots.
-------------------- But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow That it's one thing to try and another to fly You get there quicker just a step at a time It's one thing to bark, another to bite The show ain't over till you pack up at night

I'm thinking manure mixed with coir would do great. Add a little gypsum and verm too.
I would do:
5 parts coir 3 parts manure 1 part verm And a couple spoon fulls of gypsum/calcium carbonate.
Case with peat/coir/verm, or get a bag of jiffy mix and use that instead.

If it's fungus gnats get yourself a Drosera Capensis aka Cape Sundew, it's a carnivorous plant that fungus gnats love to death, literally, a lot of big conservatories use them to control fungus gnats.
alternately, if you cut the top off a plastic bottle, add an inch or so of water, a few drops of vinegar and a pinch of yeast and then stick the top back in upside down you'll have a pretty effective gnat trap.
Stay Safe

Thanks for all the input guys !
