Habitat: scotland. 50m. Park with trees.

Gills orange ish.

Stem: sturdy. Not hollow.

Cap:tan. Some of the younger ones more pale.

Spore print color: I think I'm going to get an orange spore print cus the gills look orange ish...but let's see when they fall.

Bruising:

They're not Amanita, maybe Agrocybe I don't know, would be nice to see spore color though, but I am guessing it would be brown.

The thick-looking margin put me in mind of Hebeloma, but other details are suggesting probably Cortinarius. Clear shots showing stipe and underside young and old would help.

Got some more pics of these ones.

Also think I found Clitocybes? Spore printed them but I just got a little dusting of quite light spores.

Possibly Hebeloma sinapizans, I think the next might be Pseudoclitocybe expallens or I could be way off, and the side profile (not the same thing?) looks like a waxcap.

The side angle is the same as the second last. I thought of the ones that grow fairy rings. Those ones where growing near pine trees in mossy grass.

I need to learn the general groups of mushroom types so I can spot one as like "that is some kind of ....
" and go to the guide website and narrow it down on more detailed charectaristics.

idk what it is, bit shameful because it that cap is one I see around and can't think. Not Marasmius. If you aren't using a field guide then I advise that a good one will clear up a lot about genera. Roger Phillips' Mushrooms is useful like that, as is Sterry & Hughes.
