Invitro jar question
    #23653128 - 09/17/16 01:20 PM (7 years, 5 months ago)

so i came home after a few days and found this guy...

its MS on wbs and i know its got to be bacterial.
and it had a open cap that i picked and took some prints.
should i also take a clone?

im wondering if i should just open the jar and let it fruit?
or add a quick casing layer to the top?
or birth it pf style to a sgfc?

i've never had a jar invitro like this before and searching
doesnt dig up 'accidental invitro' and when it did some
advice seemed shitty.

thanks shroomery.

well of course!

but its not going to used as spawn or anything so
i was curious about the best way to 'fruit' it.
or should i just pick what its got and trash it?

edit: i misread what you said.. i could pick and still
spawn it to a mini tub? i thought once it fruited
you had to keep it fruited.

Do you have a SGFC or similar?  If so I think I would pop it out, pick those of and fruit it in a chamber since it seems like its ready to fruit now!

Well, technically a mono tub is a fruiting chamber.  Just set it in there like a cake if that's what you have.  I've done some spawning to bags and would usually let the first flush come in vitro, then pull the "brick" out and let it flush again in a monotub since I don't have a sgfc anymore.  Just make sure it stays moist I would say.... but I'm far from an expert.

a mono is its own chamber cause of the bulk substrate.
putting a cake of any kind directly in a mono would dry it out.

Case it and fruit it with a baggie over it with a few small holes in it
