Save your weed stems!

My dealer and I are food friends and he gave me an entire quart jar packed full of weed stems for me to make edibles with. He let me borrow his crock pot and taught me this method where you let it simmer in butter and water for 8-12 hours. Damn these things are strong. It made 24 cookies and after eating one I was really high for 6-8 hours and didn't have to smoke anything in that time. I made a batch 2 weeks ago with 11g of nice bud into 24 cookies and this easily feels as strong or stronger than that.
I really wasn't expecting this. One of my last cookies gave my friend a panic attack from 2 of them. It wasn't cool but we had a Xanax nearby so he was fine.
I'm sure some people who live in recreational states don't care enough to do that but out here its nice to not waste thc.

It's a nice idea if you grow I guess but unless you're buying crap weed you shouldn't have much stem so the buildup of a worthwhile collection would take forever. Then again if you grow you've got access to pounds upon pounds of trim so it's really not something a lot of people are going to do. Those stems are definitely loaded with trich in the right spots though. There's no reason to assume it wouldn't get you high. It just tastes like shit is all. None the less, that's awesome it worked for you.

I do remember some pretty dry years around here. And very very patiently scraping off stems and smoking them with resin. Thereafter my dealer would give me gallon bags full of stems for nothing. I didn't have much else to do really.
Haven't smoked in a while but from what I've seen even in a non-medical state bud like that is a thing of the past.
Which is almost a shame. With my tolerance level and anxiety level I probably wouldn't mind some schwag

You say a quart jar full of stems? How much butter and water did you use?

I found a big cardboard box full of stems in an alley when I lived in Montreal for a while. Best use I found for them was to break them and then peel off the thin outer skin, and then smoke that. Worked better than I expected.

Yeah it would take a long time from stems from decently trimmed buds. But for someone who grows I'm sure you would have a lot of them.

Stem butter is fire, lots of trichomes on the stems.
Nice to see people actually using all of the plant.
