Monero : The New Standard in Bitcoin

It's good to see that the dark market is switching to a more secure system of trade by using the Monero
I wonder how long it will be before the standard Bitcoin now in use will become a thing of the past
Anyone else here investing in, and using Monero as their new banking currency?
The reason I dropped the old bitcoin was that I really did not like having my activity tracked while making purchases or having it in holdings.
I now feel closer to being a Free Man

haven't heard of it. i'm 0% knowledgeable on that crypto stuff, barely can get Excel to open consistently.
with the scandalous nature of the bitcoin world, i'm wondering how substantively better it is than its cryptocousins?

It is the greatest historical evolution of the money system.
Imagine a world, where you are your own bank.

Looking to make some money off monero, eh OP? Nothing will replace bitcoin, that's just wishful thinking. Bitcoin would sooner split than be replaced.
This is just how technology works. One standard becomes the dominant standard and none of the others no matter how good end up getting in because the dominant standard is the one everyone uses. Bitcoin is successful because bitcoin is successful, just like Windows is successful because Windows is successful, and bluray is successful because bluray is successful.
Some people will always use the smaller guys (eg linux), but the standard remains the standard. Bitcoin is here to stay.

I agree. Bitcoin isn't going anywhere.
You may make some money off Monero if you invest in it now, but nothing is certain and bitcoin is still anonymous enough when used correctly that I bet majority of dark net transactions will still be made using bitcoin.
Bitcoin is easier to acquire, as well. Right now AFAIK the only way to acquire Monero is to first acquire BTC and then exchange the BTC. May as well just use BTC IMO.
I hope to see Monero increase in price but nothing is certain.
Also, I'm in no way bashing Monero. I invested a bit in it, as well as Ethereum. My ethereum investment tripled so far.
